I have said all I have to say
By: James Date: August 17, 2020, 3:26 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
This line has been with me ever since I
read it in a post some while ago. The reason for the line was
based upon age. I have been around for x number of years
visiting forums and have said all there is to say. I find this
questionable for if all that has been said up to the writing of
the line was said by the spirit, then surely the spirit has not
ceased, all that is possible to be known of the Lord has not
been delivered to mankind.
John wrote that if every thing that Jesus did was written down
there would not be enough room in the world to contain the
books. I would therefore hazard the idea that it would take all
of eternity to declare the fullness of our God. Just how does
one come to a place of wanting to stop encouraging others by
words of life? Where is the fault in repetition of that which
has been, a new reader might be blessed by a truth discovered by
another years gone by? Who knows when someone hearing a truth
for the 100th time might have their eyes open to what they have
been blind to the other 99 times. Let no one give up sharing
truth , life and love because some voice whispers in our ear
"they all know this, you have said it all before".
There are still many sheep that the good shepherd wants to have
gathered in. James.

However, our ways aren't always His ways, and perhaps this is
His way of moving one of us along.
And perhaps the Spirit plans to speak through another way.
Much love!

You have a point there Mark.
I suspect that I might be influenced by the fact that I enjoyed
the particular persons contributions. They were always helpful
and encouraging, just as one would expect from an aged pilgrim
who loved the Lord!
I can’t say that I feel I have said all there is to say, but I
can say that as one ages I do miss many who have been an
encouragment to my faith, God has been so very Good to me!
Thank you Lord for the saints that help our steps to
Glory.

Hi James,
I feel the same way sometimes. I miss times and people that
I've enjoyed, and those who have added to me spiritually.
We're not to forsake assembling ourselves together, I think
there will always be building up to do.
I'm hearing in these words, "I'm not seeing myself being
edified, and I'm not seeing where I'm edifying anyone." I know
that we don't always see what God is doing, but I suspect there
is a reason for those words.
I think this kind of expression is the cry of the heart who has
seen too much of the flesh in this thing from which it
withdraws.
Much love!

I enjoy reading of the preachers of old from Wesley to our
modern day - many of these became spiritual giants as the world
moved to a more Christian stance with people taking their faith
seriously as they gathered on the grass to learn of God and
their oasis never ran dry and a huge church building programme
took place for 200 years.
In the UK some time after the 2 World War generation there was a
shift change in mindset and by the 1960s people were vocal in
their acceptance or denial of God and the promotion of No God
means No consequences for our actions became established and
churches closed by their thousands.
The biggest thing to occur in this time frame was the
distribution of TVs into every household and the rejection of
absolute truth. It's not by chance that the media is a
propaganda tool of the enemy and some Christians imagine they
can get into bed with it. Operating their church on say the God
channels and not get tainted or corrupted thereby tainting and
corrupting their flock.
I don't doubt the Holy Spirit will again work through the grass
roots and individuals to establish what he decides Church shall
become but I personally don't imagine a church building
programme ever occurring again and the TV Circus is simply
entertainment and often prosperity gospel con men getting super
rich with just enough truth programming to keep us interested
and stay to get brain washed
I think the future is bright - its the present that's not! ....
the starting point of my faith was when Jesus died for me and
took my sin to the cross - not by giving some preacher money to
buy yet another $80 million Jet in return for Jesus making me a
millionaire.

"the starting point of my faith was when Jesus died for me and
took my sin to the cross"
a great place to start imo :)
