Maybe your right

Maybe its time I just spoke of flowers and candy. not as teh
bible outs it,
[UKJV] I Corinthians 2:10
But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit:,for the Spirit
, searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.
But than no one seems to be interested.

are supposed to follow Christ, because He is the truth and in
Him is no lie, but so few will put Him first and so He has
become last.
Quoting scripture that you yourself do NOT believe is inspired
of God and is instead written by lying men and then somehow
hoping to control others to follow your lead on a forum of
fellow Christians is just like speaking flowers and candy
because you are choosing which scriptures you will accept like
choosing your favorite candy from a candy store.
It is tantamount to saying, "do as I say and not as the bible
says and I will choose for you which scriptures are true and
fine to accept".... When we in fact accept that all scripture is
inspired of God!

[/quote]why? threads you start are generally popular, arent
they? imo you might be surprised the effect a seed of yours has
long term, and i wouldnt be looking for overt "interest" from
readers on a forum, at least for the most part. I say this bc i
agree with a lot, 90% plus of what you write, but tend to be
critiquing of the other 10%, which i think is kind of a norm?
Also you never know when someone might display some interest in
a reply or thread of yours, even ten years later! Thats how i
found AFF anyway

[/quote]i gotta say i get where he is coming from there, as we
have the Bible xlated through Scribes, right? And a lot of
really hideous concepts are introduced by imo poor xlation, only
since we are born and raised with it we just kind of gloss over
them?
"Lord" is a terrible characterization for Yah, imo, but i feel
about it mostly like you do, im sure, simply bc ive heard it all
my life. We xlate many, many meaningful iterations of Yah's Name
into "Lord" now, when i guess the nearest Scriptural term to our
(English Landholder) "Lord" is actually "Baal!"
im pretty sure our current concept of hell came from scribes;
Gehenna is sure nothing close to it imo
and etc

[/quote]Just one question Ivor.........If The Bible was 100%
inspired by God and then written 100% as God spoke it....then
how come we have approx 2000 different ' Christian? '
denominations, all claiming to understand the Bible, yet all
they ever do is argue about it ????.........Why do you believe
God would have done such a thing, considering, we are informed,
also from the Bible, that He is NOT the author of
confusion......On top of that I am certain that Jesus would have
told them, " Wait for all My Word to be written down and then
make everyone follow after that.", if that had been Gods plan.
I believe the Bible can be a valuable tool, but ONLY if or when
we allow the Holy Spirit to take the lead, and then keep on
asking, seeking and knocking.........As well, above ALL, this
takes a great amount of patience.
Perhaps some chirstians are just too lazy to go seeking or
asking.......Soooo much easier just to read a book and go ! "

know the answer to.
Confusion over who Jesus was started straight after his death,
the two on the road to Emaues had confusion about who Jesus was
and his role on earth in their hearts “but just a little talk
with Jesus” sorted it all out and set their hearts on fire.
This may not be true Pia, but my old dad used to say something I
have come to believe, that contradictions in the bible were put
there by the Lord God to get us searching for the hidden riches
of truth.It also gets Christians talking and seeking. One mans
discussion is another mans argument, after all Pia the bible
does say that iron sharpeners iron.
Also remember Pro 25 says “It is the glory of God to conceal a
thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.”
Dad may have been right in the middle of our lack of
understanding each other and our God is the truth hidden for
those who will pay the price to find the prize.

I do too and so did the Bereans who would never dream of
ignoring the truth in scripture or taking scissors to the
scriptures to remove the bits they didn't like
Acts 17 10
As soon as night had fallen, the brothers sent Paul and Silas
away to Berea. On arriving there, they went into the Jewish
synagogue. Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the
Thessalonians, for they received the message with great
eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these
teachings were true. As a result, many of them believed, along
with quite a few prominent Greek women and men.…
Its so useful to check if teachings are true because the
principles God holds are in there throughout.

Teh price,
REad that bit about the King who considers his enemies before
going off to war, or that part about "He who in not wiling to
forsake all", or that part about the man who sold everything to
buy teh field to gain teh Pearl of great prize.
But if you choose that path, dont expect to be understood, nor
loved or appreciated, and most of all, expect a war, the enemy
of our souls doesnt like those who seek after God, any flame
that shines a little brighter he will be determined to snuff out

Because you MRJHealth are not Jesus! and the scripture that you
quoted has had the most important bit clipped out
[size=14pt]These are the very words that testify about Me, yet
you refuse to come to Me to have life.
Also you are wrong because many Bereans came to Jesus and also
prominent Greek men and women (its in the scripture)
