The Cross
By: Soulman Date: May 31, 2020, 7:23 am

Have you ever given much thought to Satan being the sinner from
the beginning not you. There was a sinning rebel nature along
time before humanity or you ever came along. Creation had taken
place and one of the most beautiful Angel's Creator God called
"the son of the morning" had decided he would take over heave in
full rebellion against God. He wanted to be God, he wanted the
power to be a Creator, he wanted to ascend above the stars and
be like as God and rebelled against the creator. Sounds foolish
to think that way but he was not a birthed son but a placed son,
God just called him "son of the morning."
Have you ever been around someone who still thinks like that,
they have a God complex. That is a natural happening because of
the nature, a sinning nature that still has a God complex. So
point being Satan is still the sinner from the beginning not
you. You were not the problem, you were abused by your nature.
So what did our father do? He crucified that Satan sinning
nature "in Christ." So as a person is born again they receive a
new nature because the old nature is crucified "in Christ." So
where do you go to get rid of the original sin nature, you go to
the cross. The cross is the death blow to the old man, old man
out and new man in (Christ). That should make you shout because
nothing you can do can get rid of the old man but the cross.
How did God handle humanity now they had a sin nature? He placed
them under rules for living, laws were given so humanity could
have some kind of relationship with God. You have to keep in
mind a major difference in Old Testament and New Testament is;
there were no birthed children in the Old Testament. They had a
God to people relationship, Hebrews.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of
Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into
their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to
them a God, and they shall be to me a people: - Hebrews 8:10
They were handled different, God had all his fatherly attributes
but he had no one to be father to in the Old Testament. So he
was basically a Holy God that had to deal with sinner's (by
their nature). By reading the Old Testament you can see how God
feels about and deal's with sin. It wasn't pleasant at times, he
kept his word and you would serve yourself well to do the same
or you would pay a heavy price.
I have to feel God knew the day was coming when he would deal
with sin once and for all (the nature) at the cross. His plan
before anything was created was to have children that he would
birth on his own with no help from anyone. That would come about
by providing his own sacrificial lamb for the sin of humanity.
The cross is the answer for hurting mankind. I have had numerous
debates on whether the bible is real.
The bible is the book that directs an individual to the cross
from it's starting pages to the ending pages. The nature must be
dealt with by the cross for an individual to come to salvation.
We are saved by Christ in us, Christ is your salvation not what
you do or don't do. You are saved by the killing of the old man
nature and getting the new man nature of God which is in Christ
and in Christ only. Bless you.

Yes , where relationship is concerned , I think the test is
always on us....Will God have a people who love Him for who He
is, not just for what He can do for us.
Satan said to God - “Does Job love God for nothing?”
So God says , Test him and find out, but don’t kill him.
I see that as our constant test, = Why do we love and
follow God?
Food for thought....[emoji848]

My understanding is; God basically has everything in Christ and
will not depend on mankind for anything 😀 Believers are
in Christ, as for the world they are still in Adam. The only
place you find salvation is in Christ. He deals with humanity by
one or the other, by the first Adam, or by the last Adam
(Christ). Everything for the believer is in Christ, and in the
first Adam is the sin nature still exists. The sin nature is
crucified in Christ 🤔

A few things were accomplished on the cross, as well as the days
prior and the days after........It is in fact a totally
completed work, to the point that it signifies to us, that
Christ was able to just sit down next to Our Father, to wait til
His enemies were made for Him, a footstool.
Christians want so much to be seen as perfect before God and
loved for who they are, that they begin a quest to force their
'sin nature' in the flesh, to die......Thinking that they can
manage with His help, to become perfected in their own
flesh............They believe that once they manage this...THEN
they can stand before the Fathers throne, boldly and
confidently.
All that type of thinking and doing, completely sweeps away
everything He accomplished on mankind's behalf.
Jesus was Gods Word, made flesh who dwelt among us......Gods
Word was on the cross, that day......and the death He died, He
died TO sin, once for all............... The Lamb of God was on
the cross that day......The 'scape goat' who'd be released into
the wilderness to carry away sin, was on the cross that
day......AND a man called Jesus, was on the cross that
day.....an INNOCENT man......This took many years to come, as my
focus had been on His sacrifice in our place......Him, taking
our punishment in our place.......I found out, that as usual,
God wastes nothing......when He can solve more than one thing,
by doing only one thing, He certainly does so lol.
Anyway, as we know there is another part of this story......Seek
Him, it's amazing........think on how " He satisfied all the
claims of justice "........We could no doubt spend a long long
time, seeking and having revealed all that He did.....all that
is still alive today and will be forever....Praise His glorious
name...

Pia I have been reading along with you for awhile now and I
enjoy what you have to say. It is a pleasure to know when a
believer has been in the word for awhile and really have
something to say. I get tired of listening to me all the time
and I imagine so does everyone else haha. I had a dear friend
who was older than me, he lived in the word and good
understanding, when you talked to him it came out in just simple
sound wisdom of God, I knew that for me I will need to stay in
the word and come to my own understanding.

[/quote]Hahahaha, hi Soulman, so good to see that unlike some,
you still retain your sense of humor.....and why not ?...The
Lord certainly has one :D........I am very glad you like it, as
I do believe we could all do with a liberal dose of
encouragement and assurance of His steadfast Love........Was
just thinking, how right Paul was, when he instructed us to :"
Add to your faith, patience "......He wasn't whistling Dixie,
was he ?..
Quite some years ago now, He began leading me over and over
again to the first chapter of Genesis........Even when I at
times was explicitly asking for understanding of 'Revelation'
hahaha, tell you what....this went on for literal years, and
each time, I'm like almost rolling my eyes into the back of my
head thinking " not again, surely ?".....But, every single time
He showed me a little more and a little more.....To have even
begun to imagine just how much can be revealed from that first
book alone, under His tutelage of course, I would have never
thought possible in a million years..........But my bottom line
became, Him first !.....I tried for a short time to get 100%
engrossed in the bible (only) for a time, to 'show myself
approved by God '......that almost ended in complete
disaster....Then I was shown how that unfortunate word
translated as 'study' isn't correct, and many have done so
thinking it was pleasing to God, but without Him granting us the
understanding , they are but characters on a page...no life in
themselves........That living relationship and partnership we
have been offered by Him, THAT brings so much Life and joy and
peace on and on....He is a veritable treasure trove of the
things that are undoubtedly the very best, and having seen what
He is actually capable of, I for one would like to keep on
keeping on with Him, and receive more of that intangible Light
and Life He always brings with His presence.
I once ( because of an instruction from my then Pastor )
apologized to the Lord, because of this over the top blessing He
had given me , asking Him to forgive me for my greed ( although
I had not specified anything in particular, when I asked Him for
help )........His instant response, much to my surprise was :"
Oh why would you limit me so ? "...Then He 'opened ' my eyes to
see, what I can't explain very well, a type of infinite
everything........So yeah, as far as my beginning guilt, at that
time, and thinking that I was pestering Him too much all the
time, thankfully He made a short work of that particular
issue.........Oh wouldn't it be nice, if they were all such
quick works by Him lol.
He knows when someone can receive and Word, bear up under a Word
( some are difficult ), and so again.....We really just need to
learn to trust Him, as the people on this forum obviously
already know, I'm not preaching here hahaha....But I do see that
trust is not easily come by on planet earth so much now, and
people have a hard time knowing what to believe in.....also, I
can always do with a reminder to trust Him.
One last thought which came quite recently.....He never did
promise us a trouble free life in Him, but He did promise us an
overcoming one......Praise His glorious Love forever more !

Hello Pia,
I do remember you from the CB site, for a short while as I have
only been on there a bit over 2 years.
It is nice to see you on here :) Loving your posts. You have
such a gentle spirit and kind heart, God Bless you!
And oh yes, God does have a sense of humor, lol.
Funny that you said God kept leading you to read Genesis over
and over again. He has been doing the same with me for awhile
now and I have not realized that it was Him (blush) You and
David (?) Walter?? have been walking in His light for some
time now and, it is easy to see the love you both have for The
Lord.
And yes, He sure did promise us tribulation yet, His promise to
carry us through them is also there ❤ He is all
faithful! Even if we are not (blush). Our Rock can be fully
depended on and I don't want to hurt Him...anymore than I
already have in this life (BC that is, lol)
"I can always do with a reminder to trust Him." <---Same here my
sister and, it gets easier as we just let go of any cares of
this world. For myself that is so very true...surrender and
trust in the only truly trustworthy of all! :)
"I for one would like to keep on keeping on with Him" <---Ditto
:)
God Bless sister,
Nancy
