Good Stewards 2
By: Soulman Date: April 20, 2020, 6:33 am
---------------------------------------------------------
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same
one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. -
1 Peter 4:10.
What will man have to say about good stewards? Usally what we
hear about has to do with your money. They make no bone's about
it, in the mind of many of our preacher-teachers today money
will be a central theme to being a good steward. Now money is
needed for the man to stay on TV, or the radio, and keeping the
doors open on a building for meeting. What amazes me is why
don't they trust the Lord like they want everyone else to. You
will not have to beg and have all your gimmicks to operate if
the Lord wants it to operate. They know people will operate out
of guilt and their own doing and that is good for business. But
I question? Is that Christ that puts condemnation on people to
keep something going. Is he always building a building or
raising money for the latest program. I seriously wonder if
people ever give that a thought, or is it easier to just throw
money at something and feel better about doing it. Seems if
people would consider really giving into some organization that
has nothing to sell or don't spend all their time writing books,
but being good stewards of the Christ in them.
So the good Steward of Christ does what they do by love, after
all isn't that what anybody wants is love. What does scripture
say? Husbands love your wives. Just love them and do what they
do out of love. It does not have to be coerced, it is done by
love. How about children, we just want them to do right because
of love. You know what a child wants more than anything? To see
their father/mother love each other. The proudest moment in a
child's life is when they witness love between parents, it
cannot be measured in life's outcome. So you know the Christ in
us is the same, he just wants us to give ourselves to him
because we love him. Not because we're perfect or have more
talent or can give more than someone else. No sir because you
love him.
So when we understand the grace of God, it is not to be used in
a selfish way. It is for a believer to live a completed life in
this world with Christ as a Christ-person, a Christian,
Christ-ian. Bless you.

Love the post Soulman,
"What amazes me is why don't they trust the Lord like they want
everyone else to. You will not have to beg and have all your
gimmicks to operate if the Lord wants it to operate. "
This always bothered me. Why do so many "Church's" have to use
all the gimmicks, guilt...for folks to give, give , give. If
God has a mind to bless a certain Church/body it will be
blessed! It is all in the motive if you ask me but
then...nobody ever does, lol!!
Do enjoy your posts :)

Hello Miss Nancy, I don't know why they do it, it is not
necessary. May be they feel they need to to get people to give.
But really it is the opposite people will give they just don't
want the guilt put on them like you say. The books get me, they
crank them out like their going to quit making them 😂

People need to be schooled in the
responsibility of giving. The congregation holds in their hands
the ability to ensure what is, and is not, carried out in the
place where they meet. By giving they encourage their leader to
buy a bigger and better private jet. Prayer before giving and a
word from the Lord is required before any money is passed from
hand to hand.

My church has a number of boxes in a number of places on the
window sills and nobody ever says anything about giving or
collections unless it's for a specific reason and then I've
known them to place a cloth or blanket on the floor and people
throw down what they feel is right.

I love that idea Pat. I know of only one Church in my area
that has boxes at the entry/exits. No collection, no talk of
the Tithe and the Malachi verse many Church's use. God blesses
with or without peoples money...He always finds a way doesn't
He?
