       Law Followed By Grace
   DIR By: Soulman
       Date: April 8, 2020, 6:25 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
The word grace used in the New Testament is more than just the
next step after law. We could place the word Christ in most
places the word grace is used. Now as mentioned before in a
statement that we have law vs grace, but more than that, we have
grace following law not just vs each other. To clarify; after
God used the law as a means of communication and relationship.
All of that was fulfilled in Christ (how ever we look at it,
whether the death of a sacrificial lamb or some other act the
law was fulfilled in Christ). So now he is using grace (Hebrews
1:1 says he speaks to us by his son) to communicate and have a
relationship between himself and the human being.
The law of doing at work:
What happens with people is they are taught at a young age to do
good and not evil (rightfully so to have a world suitable for
life). For example; if a young man is asked to mowe the yard and
take out the trash he was usally given a pat on the back for
being the good son. The young ladies were asked to wash the
dishes and do the laundry and clean the house. Most were told
they were the best at what they did, and they probably were. The
point is we were taught at a young age to be works related. It
was being ingrained in us, this is how you fit into society.
Now nothing wrong with fitting into society, were making a point
on the sin nature. The sin nature was/is very demanding if you
didn't notice. So what happens is a believer will carry this
lifestyle of works related relationship into their new Christ
       life relationship.
How does the law of works work in a believer; they will do
things that make them feel good, they have to do to be. The have
to do in their mind to be who they are. So what is the
difference? The difference is if we are doing to be who we are,
that is works. That is what is referred to as works related. So
we do what we do because of who we are. We do because we love
God more than we would love a feeling or ourselves? Take a note
here because this happens by seeing Christ in you by a birthing
(born again), you are who you are by being born again, not by
what you do. There is nothing wrong with works per say, or
anything you do as long as that is not where you get your
identity. Your identity comes from who you are, and who you are
comes from your parent (the father, by a birthing). If you watch
what happens in people's lives (born again) they get caught up
in doer religion if they do not know who they are.
They have to do certain things to feel good, to feel saved or
feel they are in touch with the latest whatever they think God
is doing. They are very touchy feely, easily provoked, and are
defensive for their cause. That sounds like humanity in general,
and we all can get like that. But what has happened is emotions
has replaced identity, the knowledge of identity. When I think
about the different levels of understanding I have gone through
and the emotion driven mind challenging choices. You will feel
your lucky to be alive because no one walks away from anything.
You do not decide to stop living what you know all of the
sudden. For most, it will be a gradual process (revelation) that
comes to you as you "grow up into him."
The old task master is not easily tamed if you will. We lived
all of our days before Christ being controlled by a sin nature.
An unruly character to say the least that will push the limits
of fitting into a society that demands good and works. Work at
being good and your sin nature was more than enough to help you
try to accomplish such an impossble task. Do you remember when
you did everything you knew to do and it was still not enough.
What was that? Your nature, you trying to do good "and evil was
       still with me Paul said."
So now it is the works of the law has given way to the Christ
(grace) of God, and a believer will do more by understanding
now, (highlighting understanding) than they could ever do in
       self effort. Bless you.

I liked the thought of putting Christ in the place where Grace
       was mentioned..good one.
The 'works thing" seems to be something that trips up so many
       Christians.
They feel like they must bake and apple pie for a neighbour
and it is a good work.
IF GOD SAID- " Bake an apple pie for your neighbour at number
74 " then indeed it is a good work which will bring forth fruit.
Good works is not just doing good things contained in the
Law...as many seem to think ( and argue about for hours! lol )
Good works is the fruit of hearing and doing...
That is how I see it...how about you ? [emoji4]
For us the Law if a joy...we love Him, and love will always
wish to please Him..we don't need any law...all the laws are
       fulfilled in .. L O V E .

I like that, never thought of it like that. I often feel guilty
because I think I should be doing more, but thinking about it, I
think it’s condemnation - yet it makes more sense that if God
lays something on my heart to do, and I ignore it, then I should
feel a conviction. So it’s about following Gods lead, which also
means you have to learn to listen to right voice .......be more
       in tune
I also managed to copy and paste , without any problem - have I
got the hang of it, or is it because I have a newer iPad !! Lol

Devil loves to take those little things and condemn us, little
self pity parties. We all have them.

Yes I do see it like that. For instance if we are in a group
like this and talking and encouraging each other on in the Lord.
That is fruitful (is that a word 😁) and pleasant because
we are all in this together, we are the body of Christ.

YES. For me good works can only come firstly by hearing from
Him, because there is no life outside of Him...and to produce
fruit we must first have life.
He said - "I Am the Vine, you are the branches."..fruit is on
branches...as the branch draws from the life from within the
       root.
I used to think I was rebellious when the pastor said " We
must witness more, we must pray more etc etc " But those
things, if only a "good idea" from a pastor have no life or
fruit, because 'looking like" we are actively 'doing-something'
keeps us busy but doesn't move anyone forward. Been there many
       times...
But when there is a spiritual move on the inside of us , a
quickening, then it is true fruit, and on That Day, Father will
recognize it because it came first from Him.
If you can copy and paste now , then yes, you have mastered
it! I know this because Dave's iPad is OLD, much older than
mine, and I can copy and paste on his. Well done! [emoji122]

       Fruit is a funny thing
Luk 17:7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding
cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the
field, Go and sit down to meat?
Luk 17:8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith
I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and
drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
Luk 17:9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things
that were commanded him? I trow not.
Luk 17:10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those
things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable
servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

So then, we have profited nothing when we do as we are expected
to do. Especially if one is paid in some way for their
"doings". But like the Word says, "And whoever compels you to
go one mile, go with him two." It's like going the extra mile,
so to speak. And, what more should we ever expect of God if we
follow His commands? Nothing! We are doing our due diligence
when we follow His un-burdensome commands. Anything above and
beyond like, carrying a soldiers gear for a mile (especially if
the soldier is your enemy eg; Jews), to myself, seems to be the
true fruit. And, if it feels like drudgery or a thing you feel
you "have" to do, yet your attitude inside is really saying (I
really do NOT want to do this right now!!) If you choose to do
this "work", while still in that attitude...why bother? Would
you not say this work would be burned up because of the
grumbling? I would think so. So, when this happens, say, you
are supposed to help someone move and you do not want to even
though you said you would...my take here would to be to pray for
a softened heart and and attitude adjustment, lol. God know
what good fruit is regardless :)

I just spent 4 weeks in Tassie doing a job for my company, it
was only supposed to take 2. We normally only do 3 away. When
one of my mates came back to job, asked me, why are we still
here, we should have gone home, we said, because we need to
finish this, and 1 week wont hurt, Should my company pay me
extra or give us a pat on the back fo going the extra mile and
just doing my job, I think not. And I dont see why God should
either, but that is what every one is aiming for, ill just be
Glad to be with Christ forever.

Yes it is always a touchy subject, I think I'm in the wrong
thread for works related relationship but the point in the other
thread was believers that have their identity in doing to be.
Doing to be who they are or having to do something because they
don't feel right if they don't do good works.
