Praise report xx

I had some amazing news yesterday, and real answer to prayer in
an unexpected way.
My dearest and closest friend has been fighting a deep
depression for 18months, we haven’t seen each other, and
gradually she couldn’t face talking on the phone ( so it’s been
four months since we last spoke ) We did text from time to time.
The doctor keeps trying different meds, but not made a lot of
difference.
Anyway yesterday morning she text me at 5:30 - The message was
all in capitals, and an apology for shouting. It just conveyed
that she had spoken to her half sister..............she is
adopted , found her grandmother about three years ago ( her mum
had sadly died ) she forbid she got in contact with the rest of
the family, Lindsey ( my friend) presumed that no one knew about
her and the grandmother didn’t want to open up a can of worms.
She respected that until a few days ago- she decided to contact
the half sister, she sent a brief message with contact numbers.
Her phone rang, it was her half sister. They have been looking
for Lindsey for ten years ( the grandmother must have known- how
cruel )
Within five mins,my friend asked if I was able to talk - we
spoke for two hours - I shared her joy as I knew how important
this was for her- one of her inner battles has been rejection.
To know they wanted to know her - for the first time in 18months
she said she felt real happiness.....she has told me not too be
worried about ringing again.
I am praying this will have a knock on effect to the depression
, and I do believe this has been an answer to my prayers for
her.
It really gave me a boost yesterday as well.

Great news Rita it must have been something that oppressed her
into becoming the person she is.. maybe with that lifted then
she can move on

Also, another praise report - my friend stuck in Egypt ( she is
a carer ) has got a flight home at 4pm today xxx
Her daughter is do relieved, and so am I x

Oh, and my shopping for me and my dad arrived okay- it's going
to be a nightmare getting another slot in three weeks time, but
for now we will be okay x

Agree, and I think it will get harder to stay positive as the
weeks pass by. We need each other as we encourage each other
ad praise our way forward when we are told of more and more
gloomy news and predictions.
Four years now! Telling us that is what makes people jump
out of high-rise windows as in the years of The Great
Depression.

It is 'times like this' when we are more likely to see "God
at work" , like we were talking about last week Pat. Those
earlier 'little' miracles.

Did anyone see the man playing the piano on his balcony in Italy
?
He played beautifully ( classical music) ...then a few
balcony's beneath him a man joined him with his trombone.
It was very moving.
Sweet to see some people finding a way to 'keep' the
community spirit alive even when they are not being allowed to
be together. ♥︎

Praise God for answered prayer!
I'm very happy for your friend Rita. And, how sad her
grandmother would do that...God brings all things to light :) I
do hope her depression will stay under control. Is she a
believer?
