       ~ Graham Cooke~

"Areas where we've had humiliations, harsh words, stinging
rebukes, false witness, misrepresentation, discrimination, where
we've been victimized, we've had disfavor shown to us,
prejudice, or we've been ostracized in some way - all those
areas are part of the penetration that the enemy is seeking to
bring into our lives. Every time you've come under some of those
things and they have impacted you, touched you, wounded you,
thrown you off course, whatever, its an act of penetration by
the enemy which means that you can come into this relationship
with Jesus as your fortress, but if you don't take those barbs
out, then the enemy is already inside the gate."

"The obsession of the Church with sin and judgment has created a
deeply rooted animosity in our communities toward the Gospel. We
have much hardness to overcome initially before we can plant
       seeds of love and truth.
We cannot proclaim the anger and determination of God to punish
people and think that we can intimidate them into faith.
We cannot threaten people into receiving good news! Fortunately,
that is not the Gospel. Christians who act like that
misrepresent the essential nature of God and the relevance of
the sacrifice of Jesus. We tread underfoot the Cross of Christ
when we represent God as angry. We are saying that the blood of
       Jesus does not work effectively."

I read something similar recently Helen, in a book called "The
Jesus I Never Knew" by Philip Yancey.

Today feeling somewhat Eeyorish ...it seems that whole rib cage
hurts, front, back, sides...everything aches. I know that it's
not even a full week since my fall until tomorrow...so there's
probably a few weeks to go before 100%. Being impatient one
wants to see complete healing instantly. I am sure James has the
same discomfort and pain too. ( to praise his way through!)
Eeyore said gloomily "It's still snowing." "And freezing."
"However." he said, brightening up a little. "We havent had an
earthquake lately." "So it could be worse, I don't know how, but
       it could be."

Snowing freely, but there again...this is WINTER and this is
       Canada! haha!
The lumps and bumps are improving little by little. The wrist a
bit weak, but the worst is still the chest and ribs. Night time
is no fun at all. Laying is fine, sitting is fine, but moving
about from one to the other is not fine.
Still not stopped giving thanks to the Lord that no bones were
       broken...

       Right there with you Sis.
I can lie and feel good, I can sit, but the action of having to
sit up from lying is no joke.
Fortunately for me it is only the right side. I might look odd,
but if I have to cough or blow my nose I need to bend over to
stop it hurting my side, gives others a giggle at my expense.
