Last week I was on a Rescue at Height course in the freezing
cold and rain on the roof of a building lifting people up from
situations and lowering them to the ground. I really enjoyed the
practical day which was several months after our classroom work
so it was taxing for the memory but I passed the test so now our
children can escape onto the roof and I can deal with them
I am 58 years old and one of three caretakers yet our company
are throwing courses at me probably because the pupils at the
school where I work are Special Educational Needs.
I've had to do Team Teach where we are trained to physically
restrain pupils who may be causing harm to themselves or others,
I'm now qualified to drive the school disabled buses. Next week
its another First Aid course then in the next few months its
scaffolding and then hydraulic access plant (cherry pickers)
etc.. I'm later on a professional Pool Plant course that gives a
good accreditation to manage the engineering behind swimming
       pools
I'm simply amazed that for someone so close to retirement they
are being so generous - I'm not complaining it - keeps the grey
       matter working

Our school is similar to this below but huge .. we have ages
       from 5 to 19 ... 200 pupils and 400 staff - It is a locked down
at all times school and yet the school does wonders as the
pupils pass through school they all learn to control their own
actions by the time they finally leave they are all just
wonderful people (when they are not in crisis). The Irish have a
term God's Special Children and it's so true , they are lovely

WOW i am impressed . It takes a lot of guts to do what you and
the staff there do. From one who could not do 'that' Thanks for
what you do to help those so needy,
Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I
say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least
of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
