Key words (for me)
By: guest36 Date: February 8, 2020, 3:11 am

For the present we can only see "as through a glass darkly", and
it is only when we eventually meet Christ 'face to face' that we
shall "know, even as we are known".
Just stop and ponder deeply on the realisation, firstly of the
overall truth of only being able to see as through a glass
darkly, and secondly, on the shattering realisation that when we
finally meet Christ face to face we shall be totally
known....all the stuff we thought no one knew about, even the
thoughts that we would be ashamed about if they had been openly
revealed at the time.

I have to admit that I'm not too comfortable with that last
part. LOL

I'm thinking that seeing Christ face to face would be at the
judgement seat and that stuff that we had foolishly hoped were
hidden would fall within the category of "wood, hay, and
stubble".

I guess I can live with the stupid and dumb stuff I say and
think. It is the hateful and vengeful things that I am not
looking forward to being exposed.

We are to look to Jesus Christ to help us lay aside every weight
& sin and so we should trust Him with the thoughts and intents
of the our heart to cast them down when we should.
2 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not
carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong
holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that
exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into
captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having
in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience
is fulfilled.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by
prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be
made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all
understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ
Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those
things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and
seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth
himself, even as he is pure....8 He that committeth sin is of
the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this
purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the
works of the devil.
2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil
work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be
glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling,
and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory
with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be
glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
