A possible misunderstanding.

After I had suggested to James that I might have temporary admin
status in order to help members with things like avatars and
software implications I found other ways to pretty adequately
help with all that technical stuff.
If anyone thought that it would not be appropriate for me to
have temporary admin status (limited to technical assistance)
then I'm happy to accept that, and in any case, I have since
found that I can give such assistance as explained above.

You are a big help Mike. :). Lots of forum tweaking under your
belt.
But I don't believe that you need worry about what this one
or that one thinks....you give too much credit to what people
think....in this day and age I am not finding that many people
are ' alive enough' to put any effort into such hard work as '
thinking" !!!!

I don't see why you shouldn't if that's what James wants. You
are an expert. Not inappropriate at all.
