Hi Everyone,
I realise I am not on much, but sure would be grateful if you
could pray for Keira. You may or may not remember some months
ago Sarah ( daughter ) lost her sister in law suddenly, Tracey -
she was 35years old. Well Keira is Traceys daughter. She was
admitted to hospital yesterday because she lost all feelings in
her legs and a lump had come up at the base of her spine. Sarah
went to the hospital today and was told that she has three
abnormalities on her brain and on the spine. The spinal cord is
inflamed, and this inflammation is travelling up her spine,
causing her upper body to also become numb - they do not know
what is the root cause, but are very concerned for her. Sarah
was told that there is a chance that she will never walk again -
but this is the worst case scenario, which they have to give you
these days. Kiera does not know how serious it could be as they
want to keep her as calm as they can at the moment.
I would really appreciate prayer support for her and the rest of
her family xx

Wow Rita, that sounds dreadful ...if her mum was only 35 she
must be young..bless her heart. Yes indeed, praying for wisdom
for the doctors and healing for Kiera. All this on top of losing
her mum!!

Helen she is 18years old = her mum was 37years old, not 35 -
realised when I read your comment and tried to work out how old
she would have been when Tracey had her !!
I cannot believe I am up at 2am - really must go back to bed as
I am working tomorrow
I will keep you posted x

Keira has been moved from intensive care, but is still paralysed
from the chest down. The plasma they gave her could take weeks
to work. They are treating her with Steroids at the moment.
Lupas and MS have both been mentioned as possible causes, but
they still do not have any confirmations.
I was touched by Dans response- he seldom wears his heart on his
sleeve, but he wrote her a very touching card, one that had
Sarah in tears ( his sister)
Keira's boyfriend was not impressed - but Keira explained that
Dan is more like her big brother x

Goodness Rita, what a long drawn out 'diagnosis'!! ( or not!!)
:o
So, not only is prayer needed for Kiera, but much prayer is
needed for the doctors to receive wisdom and pin point a cause!!
