       Those Were The Days!!

       if you were raised on bangers and mash.  Hardly or never had
       fast food take out.
       Had Weetabix for breakfast , played in the dirt, got smacked for
       being naughty.
       Had only two channel if you happened to even have a TV.
       Started school days with hymn singing and a prayer.
       You were read a bedtime story , and said your prayers.
       ...if you played in the street until it was dark..shared drinks
       and shared half of your already chewed gum.. with your friend.
       Never thought of disease ...had to help with things around the
       house..went to friends house for hours at a time while mum never
       worried about you...if there was a school fight it was one to
       one,not a gang bashing.  Played on bikes without a
       helmet....climbed many trees.  Jumped fences to get apples...
       And ....lived to tell the story...just say Yes, me too!!   ;D

       Yes, me too ( although I never jumped fences to steal apples -
       my twin brother did that ! LOL
       Or drank milk out of a bottle at school,
       Had the blackboard rubber chucked at you if you were talking in
       class,
       Played hopscotch, french skipping and roller skating
       went to saturday morning pictures
       had black and white tv
       had ice on the inside of your windows
       brought records
       listened to family favourites on the radio on sunday morning
       .............................. I could go on !! LOL
