Not Orphans
By: Helen Date: November 27, 2015, 11:51 pm

Orphans have to take care of themselves.
Orphans must be strong.
Orphans must protect themselves from being taken advantage of.
Orphans cannot depend on anyone.
Orphans cannot be weak.
Orphans crave to be taken in and loved but doubt they ever will.
Orphans want to be accepted, to belong.
Orphans only trust themselves.
Orphans cannot get too close.
Orphans are on the outside looking in.
Praise God....we are not orphans, but children of the living
God!!
Called to live in the House.
Called to sit at the table.
Called to walk a close walk.
Called to hear His smallest whisper.
Called to be approved of God.

Thats an interesting way of seeing what we are not suppose to be
, and yet I know that I allow myself to feel like an orphan at
times.
I am still reflecting on the Lords prayer and I was led down a
path of looking at the first few lines, Our father, who is in
heaven, hallowed be thine name - one book I am using to help
reflect more mentions the three basic questions every single
human being, at some stage in thier lives, asks - ' who am I ' (
identity )
What am I here for ( purpose ) and where am I going ( destiny )
- I am a child of God ( identity ) My home should be with my
father ( destiny ) and I am made in my fathers image - to be
Holy ( purpose )
Just reading what you have posted Helen makes me realise that
how I relate on one level ( a very deep one ) is more like an
orphan than an adopted child -
Good timing in the posting Helen- thank you xx
Rita
