       ~ Praise~

       [center]Praise - Honors God!
       Praise - Undergirds faith!
       Praise - Brings deliverance!
Praise - Is the voice of faith!
Praise - Is the language of heaven!
Praise - Sets the stage for God to move!
Praise - Releases the angels to minister!
Praise - Fuels joy, which is your strength!
Praise - Knocks down walls of resistance!
Praise - Stills the enemy and the avenger!
Praise - Dispels darkness and depression!
Praise - Must precede, not follow blessings!
Praise - Gives God the legal right to help you!
Praise - Brings the presence of God onto the scene!
Praise - Is a sure sign of acceptance of the Word of God!
Praise - Is the highway that faith moves its blessings down!
Praise - Is calling those things that be not as though they
       were!
       Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, In everything give thanks;
For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Very good word on the power of praise and very clever the way
that the writing forms the shape of a bell that rings out his
       glory!

Singing Christian hymns or songs of itself is not praise. Praise
is deeper and more meaningful than that. We can have highly
talented and well-practised worship groups but unless the people
have the desire in their hearts to truly praise and worship God
and not just enjoy a good sing-song it is all practically
       meaningless.

Amen to that Pat. Once again it is all about balance. Praise and
worship is a vital part of the Christians life..it is something
the enemy hates. It brings with it the power of angels who like
God Himself inhabit Praise. Yet the enemy fights to nullify it
by bringing worldly froth into it and tricking the younger
Christians in redefining praise ..just as the church is busy
redefining sin ( practicing gay clergy etc) If the enemy can
flip us of balance he controls and confuses.

I remember Ray's teaching on praise; 15 steps to ascend and to
enter the temple; every step is to take you higher into the
       fullness of His presence as a corporate expression of His body;
all the while releasing the gifts of the Spirit to minister to
       the body, what happened!!!!!!!

What happened you ask. It is the same as all the teaching on
healing. There are more teachings and books on how to do it
than there are people doing it. I remember Adrian Plaus on this
       subject.

Very true James. We heard him in person, and he quoted a poem he
had written called "Books,Books, Books." Books on prayer,
healing, fasting, holiness, you name it, some people have read
ten books on it and yet we still haven't entered into it.
His books made us laugh a lot..so true. Yet in person he struck
us a very synical , even a bit of a depressive.
I am sure his wife doesn't find him easy to live with. ( if I
remember rightly he had had a couple of nervous breakdowns. )
I have tried THREE times to get on the site to read today...I
started to read a post, then got interrupted three times....now
I need to go and see if I caught all the posts.
Sweet dreams to all those in UK.

What happened? I believe conformity, it was called submission
back then, so ended free praise and conformity took over and has
survived, and has made praise a spectators event, But those with
a heart for praise and worship can look forward to a time around
the throne, when the new song shall be sung. I think Colin
Urquart's church did the "hang your harps on the willow tree
thing" to the worship team; and went back to "he that hath
a--------" time. I was racking my little grey cells as to what
books I'd read on healing, as to how to do it and could not come
up with anything, like, healing for dummies, read about people
who God used, the church could really use a healing manual about
how to, I know I could.
