Old /New) Choruses/Hymns which bless us!

I thought it may be uplifting to have a thread where we can post
old choruses we used to sing, and still sing around the house!
Or hymns too. :)
CHRIST WITHIN the hope of glory! :-

And said, "Don't you care that we're about to die?"
And he said, "Peace. Be still." and when the waves had laid.
He said, "Where's your faith? Why were you so afraid?"
When they saw that the sea was smooth and clear
They said, "Thank you, Lord, for there's a man 'in here'!"

Good one Helen; this one I've alwaysed liked; All day long I've
been with Jesus, it has been a wonderful day. I have climbed up
one step higher in a new and living way. I have spoken words of
kindness, lord you know if I've done wrong. and I'll go back and
make it right so I can testify tonight I've been with Jesus all
day long.

Can't remember the song, just these words "My hope is built on
nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness, I dare not
trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name; got it
!! On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking
sand.

What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows
share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in
prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in
prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace
there.
Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised Thou wilt all our burdens
bear
May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright unclouded there will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise and endless worship will be our sweet portion
there.

One of my mums favourites Pat :)
I liked to sing and dance to -
"He poured in the oil and the wine,
The kind that restoreth my soul..
He found me bleeding and dying on the Jericho road,
So he poured and the wine!! "

That's a new one to me Pat..good words.
I find since starting this thread I am singing many more songs
now! ha!
