Who needs a food mixer when "take out" has been invented; this
is confused in Calgary; which son is getting married in Cyprus?
I thought it was Abram who had many sons; many sons had father
Abram and old song we used to sing Rita; Jehovah-jireh.

I don't think I've ever had a food mixer or a food processor but
I've managed okay. I have such a small kitchen I don't have
room for one.
I know that song too Dave.

Lol - I know that song as well, not from my childhood but from
my time as sunday school leader.
Right, I have three sons and one daughter. Mark, the oldest is
getting married in new york in 2017, sarah is next, she is
already married. David is the next and its him that is getting
married in cyprus. Dan is my ypungest.
Dan proberbly doesnt know what a food mixer looks like !!! Lol
I am taking food home from Germany, love there bread , cheese
and sausages.
Dan can cook certain things but as long as the house is clean
and dan and gizmo ( cat ) are okay I will be pleased.
We are leaving at 4:30 ( uk time ) - should take us 8 hours .

Its been back to work for me, right into my long stretch of
early shifts over lapping with late ones- and we are ' stretched
' ( not allowed to say short staffed at work !!LOL ). It was all
going really well, then yesterday I discovered that most of the
' team ' were going out for a get together meal - I was not
invited or included. I have absolutely no understanding of why,
but kind of know that it was manipulated by the enemy - well its
where my weak spot is. Its like being in a line and waiting to
be picked for the football team, and no one really wants you -
thats the only way I can describe how It made me feel.
Its knocked me down inside and I do not know how to pick myself
up at the moment. Thankfully its my day off today.
I can reason out that I was not the only one that was not asked,
but it makes no difference to the outcome or on how I feel -
mainly because I found out about it- no doubt the others not
included will equally feel the same should they find out.( I
will not be telling them )
I think, for me, its the knowledge that ' someone ' in the team
has decided who should be asked and who should not - it plays
into my low self esteem that I have fought against since being a
teenager - do you ever win the battle !
I do not intend to allow this to impact how I am at work,
although inside I want to run a mile from everyone that was
included - not looking forward to work tomorrow- boy that brings
back memories of school days when the stronger girls at school
broke friends with you - maybe thats why it has hit raw nerves
so much - some things you never quite forget !

Rita, you hit the nail on the head. At school my friend Tony
Alan and I were never wanted when teams were picked for foot
ball, but we did know we were both useless. So when we were
picked we would kick the ball the wrong way. Not that you can
deal with your problem that way.
I bet some of those included in had no knowledge of you and
others be kept out and don't bare you any ill will.
Good job we know that Jesus included us in. Sorry to say it is
all feelings and feelings always lie. Trouble is their voice
shouts louder than most.
Jesus knows about not included in, he had to settle with a
stable as he was squeezed out of the hotels, never bothered him
though.
Love and blessings Rita. James

Hi James,
I used the scenario of being picked last for the football team
as a way of explaining to Dan how I felt.
Thankfully I never went through that process at school, but can
imagine how it must have felt for many young lads - horrible way
of choosing teams !
I am not so sure you can use the example of Jesus having to
settle for a stable, and it not bothering him James - I am of
the opinion that Jesus had the same range of emotions we have
and therefore must have felt a whole lot like us throughout his
life- he never allowed the emotions to impact what he did, and
never allowed them to lead him into sin - but pretty sure that
he was not immune from feeling the impact of how people treated
him.
Otherwise how can we go to him and know that he is empathic to
how we are feeling ?
There are very few people in the 'team ' that I completely trust
- many are gossips and two faced, so you never quite know where
you stand anyway - one of the things I dislike about being in a
work place with so many people.
However this is where I am and I need to work out what God wants
me to learn from this - and how he wants to act while working
through the emotional impact. after all are we not always in the
classroom - being transformed xx ( its also a learning curve to
remember the real battle - so I need to pray that God will use
this for good )
I guess I just answered my question, the real battle never ends
!
Right now to pick myself off, dust myself down and deal with it
all x

Hi Rita, I can relate to your post. Perhaps all the left-outers
could get together and go out together and not invite any of the
'in crowd'.
