There Is A Fountain
By: Helen Date: April 27, 2015, 10:17 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
By William Cowper
There is a fountain filled with blood,
Drawn from Immanuel’s veins,
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains.
Lose all their guilty satains,
lose all their guilty stains.
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their gulity stains.
The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in His day;
And there have I, though vile as he,
Washed all my sins away.
Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its pow’r,
Till all the ransomed church of God
Are safe, to sin no more.
E’er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.
When this poor, lisping, stamm’ring tongue
Lies silent in the grave,
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing Thy pow’r to save.

That stirs the old blood; "till ALL the ransomed church of God
are safe and sin no more" don't make this world your home;
you're just passing thru.

Thanks James just spent 30mins listening to the Gaithers; what a
way to spend time." Redeeming love has been my theme and will be
till I die" what an insight those song writers had.

When I read those old hymns It just seems to me that they knew
more about love than the church today. More about sacrifice and
the power of the cross. More about a life dedicated to the Lord
Jesus.
With the charismatic movement of the holy Ghost one would have
thought the church would have developed such themes to greater
depth, yet this is not the case.
Have we been high-jacked by Jewish fables?

True enough James; Ah, the fables; shall have to sleep on it.
