Thank you Helen and thanks for the information about the cayenne
pepper. She's on a new med to regulate her blood pressure but
that will take some time. She just got out of the hospital. She
is now wearing a lifevest, better than the other alternative.
She will be wearing that for three months and will have physical
therapy for six months. The lifevest has been a little
troublesome in that if the pieces aren't touching the skin quite
right an alarm goes off and this keeps her awake sometimes so it
can interfere with her getting enough sleep and rest. The
benefit of the lifevest outweighs this problem.
The doctor also said that she apparently had gotten a virus or
bacteria months ago that attacked her heart making it weaker.
Update
She has a lot of doctor appointments this week. She was taken
off one heart med because it lowers her blood pressure. She was
on three meds that lowered her blood pressure. Yesterday she was
given a steroid shot. And they may put her on beta blockers.
The good news is that she was checked for pulmonary hypertension
and she doesn't have that.

Our water pipes froze during the last freezing temperatures. We
didn't have water for about five days. Yeah that was
problematic, no fun at all. :-\ The water is back on and
working now though. I've been trying to catch up on laundry and
dishes in the kitchen today.

Thanks Cathey...keep 'em coming.. :)
But..Oh NO not frozen pipes on top of everything else. Glad it
got fixed quickly though.
Glad to hear that they took her off some of the blood pressure
pills, her BP was ridiculously low. I was happy to be taken off
one of mine yesterday! I'm still on a beta blocker.
And what about you? How is your heart and BP these days?

My BP was a little high this morning. I was feeling dizzy, off
balance and a little nauseous so I decided to check it and that
was the problem. It went down by the afternoon. So I'm feeling
better. It doesn't happen as often as it used to but sometimes
it does. I had to wait for it to go down before I could take a
shower or else I might have fallen into the tub. :-\
My daughter and granddaughter are gone for the weekend house
sitting for a friend so I'm here alone, well except for the cats
that keep me company. :)

Hey Cathey. Sorry to hear about the "rolling" BP. Hope it stays
stable now. Do you take a garlic capsule when that happens...it
helps to bring it down. I also have celery seed capsules...they
work too...both together work even better. I hate the "highs
and lows"...the low bothers me more than the high physically,
but the high worries me more emotionally.
My son in law sent me to a doctor colleague of his ...he gave me
blood tests ...a special kind of test...and they found I had
Aldosterone readings in the 3,000 range...where as the regular
reading of a person should be in the 300's !!! I am now on a
pill which suppresses aldosterone in the body ( a hormone
secreted by the kidneys) It has brought my BP down to
normal...and they have taken me off two BP pills..I will have to
stay on this new pill...plus keep taking the beta blocker for
the heart...and a anti-coagulant. ( which I hate, as there is no
antidote found yet..so a bit scary, but they wont let me come
off it....they say that an aspirin a day won't be enough.
Dave and I will be praying that your BP stays stable now.

I haven't tried the garlic capsule. Maybe I should look into
that. It's good that you are off two BP pills. I don't know
about the beta blocker but from what you said it doesn't sound
too good. My daughter's doctor mentioned maybe putting her on
beta blocker. I'm supposed to be taking an aspirin every day.

My daughter is back in the hospital. The other night she asked
me to call an ambulance. She hadn't been eating for several days
and was getting weaker. She had nausea and stomach pain. We got
to the ER and the doctor told us that she had enzymes in her
liver and Hepatitis A. It was there under those lights that I
first noticed her skin coloring was a little yellow. She was
admitted and then an ultrasound showed that she also has
gallstones. The didn't want to do surgery because her heart is
so weak so they are giving her shots to make them go away. It
seems to be working.
When I got to the hospital today, she was slowly eating. That's
the first time I've seen her eat in almost a week. She is still
on IV's. The enzymes in her liver aren't as bad. She said she
feels like a pin cushion. Her coloring is still a little yellow
and her eyes are droopy but I do see some improvement. She also
managed to change into clean clothes today. She went to sleep
right before I left.

Heartsong, sorry to hear about your daughter; it seems our
adversary" sickness" is going about like a roaring lion; time to
get the anointing oil out; the scripture that comes to mind is
"When the enemy"sickness" (not if) shall come in like a like a
flood; The Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against
him; So we release the power of the name of Jesus into that
hospital room as a standard against the things of the enemy;

Oh Cathy NO!! :-[ :( :'( So sad to hear that!! She has
suffered so much already and is too young. ( how old is she? )
Do you have any grandchildren ie, does she have children?
I have never heard of getting rid of gallstone with shots...do
you mean injections, or do you mean a sonic thing that breaks
them up? Interesting.
Bless her heart..praying much wisdom for them to find everything
that is wrong quickly and fix it.
What is her name...I pray for " Cathey's daughter"...I know that
God knows her name..but I'd like to pray for her by name.
