       Dave's Place
By: Dave Date: October 10, 2014, 11:40 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
To nobody in particular, Its an ON day today, Glory! I was
standing frying an egg to put on my toast and found myself
looking at the frying pan (it was a sort of Moses at the burning
       bush moment)now you're thinking,what's glorious about a frying
       pan,well it's,the eco friendly,has that eco green bottom,makes
one feel healthier just looking at it,it has the non stick label
on it (false advertising,my egg always sticks) but the
revelation was we had had it for a long time, usually longevity
is not there trade mark, they get scratched, somebody uses a knife
to cut something in the pan, then that someone is told, toxics are
now going to be released into the food,(a good reason to give
thanks before eating) so into you must go,ei,ei,oh, why oh why
has this one lasted so long, you already know the answer ,I
       bought it myself //// Isn't God good,I'm HIS possession,bought
with a price,I know my pan is mortal but this mortal shall put
on immortality so as I wrote this to no one in particular,I took
the liberty of preaching to myself, using a couple of scripture
references 'cos I'm preaching to myself,as I looked out of the
window I knew it was an on day because I felt a little love for
Mr Nasty who lives over opposite, who parks his car on my side,
throws his coffee cup on my grass----------well I'd say a little
love,to all who might feel they are a nobody.

Stuff that one buys with ones hard earned graft does come in for
a little more tender love and care.
I can't stand to feel the way others drive the cars I have,
unaware that so much has been put in place to hide the fact that
Mr and Mrs Average car driver has no more ability to drive than
a rabbit knitting a pair of socks.
I have tools that are older than my children and still in
perfect working order only because I did not do the equivalent
of cutting up bacon in an eco non stick frying pan.
As to the final point of your post Dave I hope I show love to Mr
Nasty when we meet, just how do I know if he or I am in fact the
       real Mr Nasty?

James,I loved the analogy of a rabbit knitting socks,Mr Nasty
acquired his name,I know that you know, names can depict
       nature,example,Isaac-laughter,self explanatory, Mr Nasty was
named for his attitude, when Pat a neighbour, politely ask him to
move his car, so she could plug her car in on very cold
night, his reply was not hallelujah, praise the Lord, which is my
standard reply for being called out on a freezing night,he was
very nasty. Pat was a fervent Mormon and I'm sure she rushed in
and prayed for him. She invited me to an Italian meal at the
       Mormon church,a free meal,how could I say no,so along I went,I
was quite surprised,no ladies falling out of there dresses,no
blue hair, didn't see any nose rings,no men with ear rings, very
       correct,12 to a table,12 obviously meant something///good
meal,no seconds though nor any tea or coffee, just water, which I
silently prayed would turn into wine, which it didn't,has anybody
ever seen someone do that? Not finished here, rushing off to play
       squash,back soon to finish.

Dave, I trust the game of squash turned out a lot better than
       the Hockey the other night.
Oh, that is Nasty , I thought that all Canadians helped each
other in the cold snow conditions, why not pop a "Mister Man"
book through his door, you could always include a tract so that
       he felt blessed!
I am sure he would take up an offer of a free meal if you
invited him over for one of your special cook book
       treats.[/color]pt]

Size 14???shoes??? Oh, aren't we full of good ideas, you haven't
seen Mr Nasty,(maybe he's part of the tribe of Goliath,)he's one
scary dude and to boot, his father in law is a preacher//so I
don't feel his blood quite so close to my head, that said, for all
those who have a strong evangelistic bent(I can hear you
saying,'see it as an opportunity' /////)from a few thousand
miles away!! I did say to the Lord that I was finding it hard to
really pray for him and his family,He said I had to,so you'll
all be glad to know that salvation will visit his house,I think
James, I'll put off the breaking of bread bit,he looks like he
could eat a scabby horse and chase the rider, add him to your
       pray list,squash,ah,now that's another story,while eating my
toast this morning,I perchanced to read, the saga of Jesus and
the Pharisees,Matt 16 ,you know the old sign seekers,I suddenly
realised, you could lump me with those who are always asking for
a sign,I seem to get the same answer,'no sign shall be given
you' any one know the feeling? He says,a wicked and(I won't
quote any more)so paraphrased version,no sign shall be given, end
of matter,oh whoops, isn't that like the Lord, here comes the
punch line but" the sign of the stroppy prophet Jonas" so I
wondered what that meant to them?it seems to me we live in a
time where "a wicked and adulterous generation" is
applicable,so,from the story of Jonah, what sign????

Sign, I had thought it was the sign of being three days dead in
       the big fish. Jonah 1:17.
Even if not quite dead he would have been if God had not at the4
end of three days and nights told the fish to spew him out.
       Its all I've got!

James,it pains me but I think you're right about, the sign of
Jonas,I was reading from Matt 16,then Matt 12 and got caught up
with" the men of Ninevah shall rise in judgment with this
generation"salvation of Gentiles was definitely a burr in a
       Jewish saddle.

To the people who read and never post,I was reposed on my
balcony this morning, eating a interim meal before the great
fullfilling of the scripture of Paul, concerning the BUFFETing of
our bodies,it's thanks giving day here, where the Turkey pays the
ultimate sacrifice, unlike Jesus it probably wasn't
willingly, while on the balcony I got to thinking about Honest
Thomas, called doubting in some bible headings,he may have been
an unbelieving believer but I liked his honesty, like the man
petitioning for his daughter,I believe, help thou my
unbelief, honesty, not having the Talmud,Aramiac,Greek or Hebrew
at hand,I looked in the contemporary dictionary, which was at
       hand,it translates honesty,as a state of being honest,it links
it with integrity and probity,a man could learn a lot reading
the dictionary, integrity speaks of adherence to to a high
ethical code, probity, never heard of it but I liked what it said
about probity, integrity that has been proved and revealed in
ones actions,so you can call Thomas what you like,he put his
money where his mouth was,I'll leave you with this pithy saying,
,"when it's all said and done, there's always more said than
done."have a week of kindness this week.

Seem to be having a problem leaving the site???? looking back,
it seems to be me and you James,so to pass the time I came
across this in my drawer,a story of a mafia group who hired a
deaf mute to do there accounting, they discovered he had ripped
them off for 10 million, they bring there lawyer to interpret for
them, they torture him but he won't tell, then one pulls a
gun,put it to his head and says to the lawyer, tell him he's dead
unless he tells, lawyer interprets, the man says it's in the
garden shed, gunman says what did he say///lawyer said,he said,
       you don't have the guts//I know it's a groaner.

Going back one step Dave to those who read but never post.
Where do they fit in with your communication thread since
something is communicated to them as they read but they
communicate nothing of their faith to the site. I could be wrong
and they are communicating faith in an act of reading, but I am
not sure how that communication comes across to me or builds me
up or encourages me, other than knowing that at lest words are
read and one trusts that God can bless them and strengthen them
by those ordinary words arranged in a divine way for their
       enhancement.
