I am surprised at how little members have to say about my post
:'(

Hello Mike
1) I think some of us are saying to ourselves ….”I am surprised
how little the member here have to say “ …period.
…about any post.
2) You are one of many ‘friends ‘ that I know who sought the
Lord for the baptism …..and seemingly did not openly receive.
Yet I can think of two of them whose lives reflected a walk of
closeness with the Lord and His power in their life …there was
no way that I could think or say that they had not received The
Spirit . They just had never spoken in tongues , yet their lives
reflected the life of the Lord.
I have never been one who believed that tongues is the only sign
of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. More so , I believe there is
and has been living proof ( walking among us) to the contrary.
God is God , and He does what He likes , to whoever He likes,
whenever He likes , no matter what men may say.

As you had said Mike that my post had awaken memories that you
wanted to forget I decided not to ‘add wood to the fire’ . Sorry
that I misunderstood, can’t speak for others but I am now
reconciled to my post on any forum being ignored.
Unlike you Mike I did not seek ‘the baptism’. It took place in
my bedroom while I kelt for my end of day prayer time. I was
just in worship when I became aware of an oddity in the back of
my throat which I tried to resist, I was then aware of wave upon
wave sweeping over me, of what I call golden glory, a feeling of
euphoria. It was a few days later while at work that I without
any warning began to speak in tongues Not all speak in another
tongue, it all depends on the mind of the spirit, although some
spoke in an unlearned language on the day of Pentecost it was to
demonstrate that the ‘power’ they had received was to preach
without fear of the Jews or any authority opposed to God.
How easy it is to dismiss the gifts and callings of God when
they are not apparent in our experience and we feel desperate
for his interventions. I suspect that sometimes we can get
caught up with collecting badges like Boy Scouts. I know I have,
"this is my healing badge and this one is for hearing the
audible voice of God. This real flashy one is my baptism in the
spirit one and the blue ones for water baptism. I’ve a badge for
doing outreach work and one for visiting the sick, plus my
gifting badge for remembering the poor who live on the streets.
There are loads of them, the one I’m missing is the humility
badge. Some say I won’t get that without getting my ‘give God
the glory’ badge first."
