especially in the midst of a "pandemic?"

I would say a life of joy and wonder is a product of the new
birth and isn't impacted by a pandemic.

had a lot of impact to me anyway i guess; except maybe
peripherally maybe, i dont people-watch like i used to, small

We are in a large town but have a park opposite and two
good-sized gardens, but like you I wonder how people in
apartments or living in houses with no frontage and with only
small rear yards have managed to cope - specially with kids or a
less than friendly partner.

As an apartment dweller . . . We're fine. I find that we don't
"build" a good life, we grow into it. And the abundant life
isn't based on circumstances, it's based in our reconciliation
to God. When we have that straight, everything else falls into
line.
Much love!

I'm glad you've been ok in your apartment. Have you stayed in
since March. We have and been glad of both our gardens to sit
out in the sun or the shade and watch the world going by.

[/quote]this is striking me a lot like the "new birth" quote, id
say if it were that simple then believers prolly wouldnt be
seeking literal immortality in an afterlife? Not that i disagree
with the words, per se

I'm working, "essential industry", thank God! Small company
with lots of room, easy to distance.
Aside from not going to church, my life hasn't changed too much.
And there is a lot about how everything is now that I like.
Slower pace. Less traffic. People are nicer.
And I'm the kind of guy that a garden can be enough! I've got a
lot of cactus and the like on my generous patio, and we love
sitting out there!
Much love!

I wish more people understood that it is that simple. I say
simple, not easy. I wish I understood many years ago, instead
of this late in my life. But better late than never!
Simply trusting in the finished work of Christ on the cross, and
the power of His resurrection, trusting that He is enough, this
brings love and joy and peace, and much much more. The door to
faith opens wide without the sense of condemnation.
I'm not talking about "immortality after death", but I am
talking about a new life now that goes on without end, because
we are joined to the One Who alone is immortal.
Much love!
