Because I Can

Troubles here? Apparently not except that it seems to be quite
empty.
CB was getting too bad prior to the election. Now that the
formal part of the election [the voting] it is over
supposedly... off they mostly run for the fighting or arguing
about who cheated and who is the good guy or the bad guy among
the contenders. I can insert that Jesus is the good one, the Son
of his Father, but few want to discuss that... not interesting
or confrontation or whatever it is that people want. I'll check
in at CB for alerts or PMs, but I am going to back away from it
for a while.
Of course over there one can also join the Halloween,
Thanksgiving, Christmas and other festivity clubs or follow all
of the tatoo and/or smoking type threads...

They say John that variety is the spice of life. This carnal one
maybe but not the life of the spirit. I do not understand the
desire for confrontation, discussion yes, an exchange of views
because one wishes to see a little more than one can at this
moment of time.
You are so right not many here any longer, by the time I arrived
more than half had wandered away. I think maybe the rebirth of
this site was considered to be self replicating once set in
motion, the trouble with that is that with any birth there comes
the responsibility to care and nurture the new born. With out it
the new babe is guaranteed to die.
Life each day is interesting, it has the usual round of
fundamental chores and yet it seems to crackle with spiritual
energy. To the naked eye there is so much that is plain wrong to
such a degree that it makes me continually look for what the
Lord is intending to do. I know for sure he is not sitting on
the side lines idly watching the game, no like a chess grand
master he watches the moves ready at the precise moment to
reveal his checkmate. Glory to God!!

Ha! Someone else is here. More even than one! Thank you Lord for
the small gift of people... even if many are into that death
more abundantly thing!

If more people were really interested in discussing and growing,
it would not be so bad. Some do not, as it seems to me, even
realize what their real purpose is in coming to forums. The
shifting from this place back to CB or somewhere else like that
tells the tale.
Some may need fellowship, but many like at least to see the
confrontations, if not personally involve themselves in them.
How many really want to grow and help other to grow? Some who
say that they do however show little tolerance for someone with
even slightly difference understanding or beliefs about the
things of God (Are they the things of God?)
But to be fair, I need to consider my own purpose. Is it any
better than so many others?

Well the loss of Helen on the other forum made for a new
beginning here... then they reinstated her. I won't blame it all
of her or perhaps I should be speaking rather of giving her
credit because so many people like/love her. Recently she hasn't
been on there, at CB that much. I have been there more than I
thought I would, but there are now too many people and too many
threads. Even when I work at it a little I cannot even browse
through the whole thing. Truth is that much of it is not worth
the browse except as to satisfy my curiosity once in a while.

Game is often, if not always, the best name for it. Maybe the
Halloween, Christmas emphasis is more honest than some of the
"one way" preacher/teacher types.

This wrongful focusing seems to be part of the general and
specific way that men travel... even many claiming to be
followers of Christ!

I can remember wanting this or wanting that, but any more I have
learned to, most of the time, be content with what God has given
me and my wife. We are blessed and we know that we are. All of
our married lives we had only one functional car with the
exception of one short time period. When we had two cars it was
mostly one car too many. That was a long time ago.
We once had a large beautiful home with everything we wanted in
it, fully furnished with all brand new heavy wood furniture.
When we moved to our little apartment we gave away or sold the
excess furniture. That was several years ago now and we do not
miss those things. There is really nothing that this world has
to offer that we are yearning for...
We could express with you, 'We have never had it better'!
