A Plot Within Shadows 2(closed)

Deep within the testing facility a lab was stored away. Hidden
away inside the moon base, away from prying eyes where only few
were allowed in and even fewer allowed out. The lab was shrouded
in darkness, a single overhead light illuminating a desk in the
center of the room that sat before a screen that took up an
entire wall. The screen clicked to life, though the image was
dark and offered no other light. "Good evening sir. I assume you
wish to start this meeting with a review of todays progress, an
analysis of the team, along with updates on the OS Project?" the
familiar voice of Felix questioned as he stepped into the room
and took a seat at the solitary desk. "I have taken notice that
our informant, Mr. Moon, is not being included in this meeting."
he added offhandedly, though was somewhat pleased the
mysterious figure was absent.
"Yes, for this meeting he is not needed, nor does any of the
information need to be directed to him. At least none as of
now." the voice said. "Begin relaying information. I wish to
know how todays events went and your opinion on the matter."
Nodding Felix took out a set of files and spread them across the
desk. "Testing on the new Unit system was fine. Communication
and visuals functioned properly. All Units were at optimal
condition, and will be again after repairs are finished and they
are shipped back to Seele. Testing of Pilots went as followed;
Pilots were tested on AT Field control and the Suit Sensors.
Results of the control test, all were able to control their
fields below the formation point. Unit Pilot Lazyboy had initial
difficulty, as did Unit Pilot Artemis and Unit Pilot Fenir as
theirs manifested immediately. Unit Pilot Maniae took a bit
longer to form. Unit Pilot Fallen seemed to be able to give them
advice and they managed to complete the exercise." he paused
and shuffled his papers around. "I have gone over the results of
the other Unit teams, ours were the only ones to be able to
complete the task suitably.he added and began putting the papers
away as he moved onto the next topic. "The sensors and synch
ratio for the suits are still in functioning order. We began
testing at the lowest shock level, all pilots positively reacted
and continued to do so as the level was changed. Testing
continued on into the higher settings, as noted out of all the
teams they had the highest level. Testing was then interrupted,
before leaving this base I will perhaps test them again and see
just how high they can reach. I believe their tolerance of pain
will be beneficial for future unit updates." he finished that
section of the report and slid it away.
"Continue with the test. I too wish to know what we should be
expected from Halles' team, they seem to be demonstrating very
useful skills at the time."
At that Felix nodded and wrote something down "Then it shall be
done sir. Our tests were interrupted by an attack by 3 units,
presumably from ArchAngel. All four units were sent out without
Unit Pilot Fallen as her unit was still at Seele. Unit Pilot
Fallen split the team into three, Unit Pilot Lazyboy and Fenir
each took on a unit while Unit Pilots Artemis and Maniae
confronted one together. Unit Pilots Lazyboy and Fenir took down
their targets while the third managed to get away."
"And what do you make of that. We can't have pilots unable to
take down their enemies." he questioned.
Felix considered the question for a moment and smirked. "They
still have potential, as you are quite firm in their proposed
use it is best to continue on with them. The unit that got away
is of no concern and they are certain to destroy it next time.
If not then actions shall be taken. That concluded the days
testing and the start of Unit repairs and scavenging the beaten
units remains." All pilots were released from duty and left to
their own devices. Unknowing that they were being closely
monitored." a small compartment flipped open on the desk showing
several buttons that the doctor expertly pushed. The screen
spilt into several smaller glowing squares, showing the days
activities they all participated in. "As you were aware Desmond
Godrun arrived on base with the four pilots. Odd considering
Desmond and Halles' history along with Desmonds' own recent
files. He seems to have integrated himself within the team yet
from this afternoon and evenings security tapes that has
changed. The four pilots have acquainted themselves with the
mans sordid past and have turned against him for the time
being."
"Yes, the rouge Godrun had indeed turned up at Seele a few days
prior to their leaving for the facility. I can only assume he is
either taking a break from his previous quest, or has found out
something pertaining to the OS Project. Either way his
interference will amount to nothing so he may continue on with
his "plans"." he said and waited for Felix to continue.
He nodded "I shall monitor the situation, from what I have
noticed it was Unit Pilot Lazyboy that seemed closest to him,
Unit Pilot Fenir as well seemed to have warmed up to Desmond. I
am uncertain of thoughts Unit Pilot Maniae holds while Unit
Pilot Artemis strongly dislikes him. Though now they may all
share the same feelings. From there they have all taken to
investigating into things. Including the OS Project but the
information gathered will only be a shade of what it is about."
"Good there are too many things at stake. The OS Project must
continue, after so many centuries we are in the last chapter.
Let them nose their way in, lead them to barely there facts and
soon. Desmond will not be an issue, after all even he does not
know the true extent of this plan and he is too blinded by his
love to find the rest of the plot."
Felix slid his papers away and fixed his glasses as they'd begun
to slide down his nose "The OS Project has been taken care of,
I've left Dr. Vespe in charge of finishing the research of the
OS Machine and the research into ATF Humans. I myself have the
core components of the project and will resume my research at
Seele. As of now the current OS is stable, but that will not
last as the energy core deteriotes. We need the information of
the ATF surrouding Tokyo Impact, its residual energies and a new
stable core if we wish to move forward." he finished and stood
up as the glowing screens blanked out, leaving the room bathed
in the glow of the single overhead light.
"And we shall have that information. Mr. Moon will soon have
what is needed and we will continue on. We shall speak again
when you have returned to Seele." conversation finished the
screen went completely dark, leaving the room in silence.
Gathering his papers Felix picked up the bundle of files and
turned away from the screen. As he began making his way out of
the hidden lab the one light clicked off.
