He set his books down and grinned. "Well I encountered Halle
when I was 8 and she was 12 at the time. I lived on one of the
smaller bases, Satellite 7, very boring life so I spent my time
causing trouble for everyone. It was on one of my pranking days
that I decided to go visit the loading bay of our base since I'd
heard we'd be housing a newcomer for a few days until Seele
could come for transport." he closed his eyes and nodded. "It
was fate, the moment she stepped off and into the bay time
stopped. Before I knew it we were looking at each other and then
she was running towards me, and I was in her arms as though it
were meant to be."
He opened his eyes and looked thoughtful "Oddly no one else was
too excited about our magical moment, next thing I know she's
being dragged off and one of the guards asking me if I was okay
and something about deranged girl, attempted murder and me being
a hostage." he shrugged. "Not sure how they got to that
conclusion when it was quite obvious she too felt that magical
connection."

"oh........." Leon wasn't sure what to make of the story.
somehow he couldn't see Halle and desmond running into each
others arms.....but miss halle being deranged and murderous was
even more unbelievable.

"Speechless? I don't blame you, not many can have such a
wonderful romance such as ours." he said proudly. "Back then
Halle was a spitfire type of gal, but shy. There were many times
she's told me to stop "stalking" her and offered me friendly
love hits for my efforts to woo her. My parents would ask me why
I came home with bruises but they were just being dramatic and
couldn't understand my lovely angel was shy and startled easily
by my more suave and debonair ways..." he rubbed his cheek as he
fondly remembered the first time Halle punched him.
"Well on the day she had to leave I decided that I would not be
apart from her, so I sorta ran away from home, stowed away on
the transport ship and ended living on Seele learning a lot of
skills and other things. I don't regret leaving home, Halle was
the love of my life and a pilot who knew when would be her last
moment so I didn't want to be apart. I think my running away to
be with her was what really won her over. I continued on with my
pranking ways, dragging Halle along in the fun, and then we met
Felix. I was 12, Halle was 16 ad Felix was 15."
"That had to be the worst year of my life. Meeting this love
sick idiot and his crazy obsession were the absolute worst,
always getting me into trouble." Felix stood at the door,
glaring at the two of them. He'd gotten an alert telling him the
gym was in use and came to make sure nothing was being wrecked.
"Idiot can't even tell the story right..." he muttered and
leaned against the door.

Leon stopped hitting the dummy to listen to Desmond. he was
gonna say something but was cut off by felix arrival. "oh.....a
different perspective?" Leon was intrigued now and sat on the
floor.

"Oh not a different account, the correct account. You see Halle
wasn't always a sweet, caring and nice person. She was actually
a very vicious, psychopath. What happened the day they met was
Halle attacked one of the guards escorting her, caught sight of
this idiot and decided to use him as a bartering chip.
Unfortunately she picked the wrong person because Desmond found
the entire situation positive, despite the fact she was
threatening to murder him with that stupid energy sword." Felix
explained and shook his head. "Not true at all Felix, it was
love at first sight for us!" Desmond said, glaring at the other.
"Yeah sure, then Desmond chose to stow away in a ship to Seele
where he proceeded to stalk Halle, followed her everywhere in
his attempt to get her attention. Each encounter ended with him
on the floor with either a black eye or a handprint. If he
wasn't brain damaged before, then I'd assume the multiple hits
in his childhood makes him the idiot he is now.."
Desmond sat in his spot, arms crossed and pouting "Nothing but
lies, those were just love taps from my shy little angel.
Whatever you can't deny that she did warm up to me!" he said
triumphantly. "I don't know the details on when there
relationship changed but it did, and that was pretty much the
day Halle's personality changed to one the one she has now and
the day she became as stupid as him. Somehow I got roped into
their many misadventures, Desmond the idiot, Halle the attempted
voice of reason, and me, the one who never wanted any part of
it."

Leon hiccupped a few times through felix telling but at the end
he looked at the ceiling "so miss Halle really was violent. you
really must have had an effect on her to changer her that much
mr Desmond"

Desmond smiled "I'd like to think so. I suppose someone in our
trio had to be responsible and Halle decided it' be her. Though
it didn't mean she'd take anything lying down, always ready to
fight if someone decided to push her buttons." he said fondly.
"I hope you don't plan to stop this pathetic memory train just
yet. I'm quite curios as to how you wormed your way back in
after 14 years. And try not to let your bias ruin the story."
"...What happened then doesn't need to be brought up Felix. I
made the mistake of a lifetime and will live the rest of my life
regretting that choice. The only thing I can do is keep looking
to the future and doing what I can to help." he sighed softly
and rubbed his temples.

floor and stretched himself out "who knows maybe you can go on

"Normally I wouldn't have this much amusement for a situation
but for this I wish I had popcorn." Felix said, pushing off from
his spot he found a bench to sit on. "Carry on with the next bit
of memory lane. Best to get it all done with."
Desmond sighed again and continued to rub his temples. "No kiddo
we're not together. Not since I left her 14 years ago. You get
older and you look back on the things you've done and see the
mistakes you've made, and regret things that can't be changed.
The day I walked out on Halle was the worst decision of my
life..."
