       Boiling after filtering (boiling alone is not a reliable way to
       kill some encysted parasites such as Cryptosporidium or the
       bacterium Clostridium) for one to three minutes (add a minute
       for every 1000 feet above sea level) will kill your viruses that
       filtering will not get.
