       Ceramic filters

       My number one choice if I think that the water source is clean,
       such as a mountain stream or rain water is the ceramic filter.
       It will filter out bacteria, protozoa, and microbial cysts but
       the filters are not effective against viruses since they are
       small enough to pass through. This technology has been around
       since 1827.
