       Hello Ms. Corona Virus,
You are like that one roller-coaster that’s very unexpected. At
first, nobody thinks it’s scary but once you get on the ride
that’s when you realize what the ride is all about. It’s been
very catastrophic since your arrival. I don’t know if you
realize the things you have done to humans. You have changed
everyone’s life. The whole world has changed because of you.
Let’s look on the brighter side and say that you have changed
the world positively and negatively. People are dying because of
you and the earth is healing thanks to you. You were born in the
late-2019 on Wuhan, China and you have traveled the world very
fast, faster than anyone has thought. Now let’s see somethings
that you have done to this world. You have closed down big
events like concerts, sports, and/or big places where there’s a
big crowd. You stopped us from having any physical interactions
which led to people having to quarantine themselves at home and
not see their loved ones except the ones that live under the
same roof as you. Schools have closed down; education is virtual
now. Workers are unemployed and worried about how they are going
to buy food, pay rent, etc. Hospitals are struggling and now low
on supplies. They have to improvise and now there’s a hospital
in central park. Who would have thought a whole country is going
to be on a lockdown, but now you have made people realize that
it’s possible. You have completely changed our life, the way we
lived, the way we moved, everything. You have bought chaos in
this world, leading people to stock up on food and being selfish
with it and not thinking that other people need it too. You have
bought some positivity with you too.
Earth was once in danger and it’s still but not as much as it
was before your arrival. There’s less rumbling on the surface,
there’s less air pollution, city soundscapes are changing, the
oceans are probably quieter, too. You have taught us a very big
lesson that we all needed to learn, the earth doesn’t need us to
survive, we need earth to survive. I never thought it was going
to take a whole pandemic to happen to tell and teach the people
that keeping yourself sanitized is very important and how we
should change our lifestyle. You have given us a chance to bond
with our family because before things were getting in our way
like school or work, you are bringing people closer to each
other. Not having any physical interaction is telling us how
important it is to sometimes hug someone. Things that we loved
doing or using is beginning to bore us and let us go out of our
comfort zone and try new things, discover new hobbies, get to
know yourself better. This pandemic is letting us reflect on our
self. People were moving too fast in life and now you are
slowing them down, which was very much needed. A city that never
sleeps is finally taking a nap. Thank you for everything you
have done for us and I think you should slow down a little bit
or be gone forever. I and everyone else appreciate what you have
taught us but your negativizes are too much now and it’s
       horrible so please go away.
       Sincerely,
       Lutfa Begum
