Force Power Comp.
By: Helios Date: December 30, 2018, 7:17 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Keywords:
Reactive: This denotes that the power can be used in response to
another power. Reactive powers have the capability to be used
within 3 seconds of another power, or depending on the power, a
saber strike.
Reflexive: This denotes that the power can be used freely, but
not in direct response to another power, or to override another
power. Most powers can still be used in response to others, but
will not negate/cancel the effects of the previous power.
Self-Targeted: These Force Powers can only be used to directly
affect the user.
Targeted: These powers can target another combatant, or the
original user. i.e., "Barrier, Primary." When using a targetted
power, always specify the target, unless the fight is strictly a
1v1.
Channeled: The use of these Powers require a specific gesture be
maintained throughout the duration of the power.
Sith Force Powers:
-Marauder
Force Lightning ( Reflexive, Targeted, Channeled ): By extending
a free hand, gesturing as if summoning electricity from ones
hand, the target is paralyzed for the duration of the channel.
Target is unable to defend while affected, but is able to use
force powers.
Interactions: Can be Absorbed, Immunity'd, Reflected, and
stopped by Barrier. If Reflected, the person who casts Reflect
must maintain the channel, otherwise the Lightning ends.
* If the gesture is dropped at any point, the power ends.
*Push can end a force lightning
Frenzy ( Reflexive, Self-Targeted ): By declaring Frenzy, the
user now either takes phase on an opponent, or extends their
current offensive phase.
Interactions: Can be Immunity'd, and Reflected.
-Warrior
Shatter Point ( Reflexive, Self-Targeted ): By declaring Shatter
Point, the user then declares and points to a specific strike
zone on their body, such as their left shoulder. This now
signifies the only location they can be legally struck out by a
saber in combat, against the combatant the power was used
against.
Interactions: Can be Immunity'd, and Disabled after being
declared.
* Even when Shatter Point is declared, the user can still be
killed by Back Stab, unless targeted before going invisible
* As long as the opponent remains alive, Shatter Point will stay
active towards that opponent. If either the user, or the target
die, than Shatter Point stops. Thus, even if the opponent leaves
active combat, the power will remain active.
Cripple ( Reflexive, Targeted ): When used, the affected target
must complete a phase in only Shii-Cho, either offense or
defense, depending when the power is called.
Interactions: Can be Absorbed, Immunity'd, Reflected, or
Disabled after being declared.
* Any force power that caused phase to shift or reset affects
this power, such as Push/Pull, Ferocity, or Barrier ( if a phase
switch occurs after the phase reset ).
-Inquisitor
Force Grip/Choke ( Reflexive, Targeted, Channeled ): By
extending a free hand in the gesture of grasping around a
throat, and declaring Force Grip, the target is now able to be
moved around in regards to the users hand gestures. By issuing
the command Choke, and clenching their hand while pulling it
inward, the target is now killed.
Interactions: Can be Absorbed, Immunity'd, Barriered, and if
cast before the Choke command is issued can be Disabled.
* When a target is affected by Force Grip, they are unable to
use a force power, with the exception of Immunity, or Absorb.
Others using Barrier or a properly timed Disable can cancel the
power.
Absorb ( Reactive, Self-Targeted ): By declaring Absorb, and
motioning in a grab and pulling motion towards ones chest,
allows the user to cancel the effect of a force power.
Interactions: Cancels the effect of any Targeted force power,
with the exception of Disable and Backstab.
* When Absorb is used, the user gains a second use of their
other Force Power, regardless of if it has been used prior.
-Assassin
Invisibility ( Reactive, Self-Targeted, Channeled ): By
declaring Invisibility, and gesturing ones free hand in front of
their face ( as well as saber being disignited ), the user is
unable to be engaged/targeted. Duration of this ability is 30
seconds, but can be ended whenever the gesture ends.
Interactions: Can only be preemptively stopped by Disable. Once
successfully cast, cannot be affected by any power.
* While this power cannot be used to stop a force power, if
Invisibility is cast before another force power can be
completed, the Invisibility activates, but the opposing force
power is not used.
* Igniting ones saber ends Invisibility. However, Backstab can
be used directly from Invisibility.
Backstab ( Reflexive, Targeted ): For a single strike, allows
the back to be a strike zone on a target.
Interactions: Can only be countered by Saber Resist, or a
pre-emptive Barrier ( cast before the Backstab makes contact )
* User must be behind the target to use Backstab ( not
necessarily directly behind, but behind )
Jedi Force Powers:
- Martyr
Force Push/Pull ( Reflexive, Targeted ): By making either a
pushing or pulling motion toward a target and the appropriate
Force Push/Pull verbal command, that target must either take two
steps back, or two steps forward.
Interactions: Can be Absorbed, Immunity'd, and Reflected.
* When used as Pull, can pull an enemy into active combat with
any engaged opponents.
Reflect ( Reactive, Targeted ): By motioning as if reflecting an
object/power away from ones self and declaring Reflect, returns
a targeted force power back to the original user.
Interactions: Can be Absorbed, and Immunity'd. Powers that can
be Reflected are Force Lightning, Frenzy, Cripple, Push/Pull,
Reflect, Barrier, and Disable.
* If a Channeled power is Reflected, the gesture to maintain the
power must be used. If the gesture if not used/dropped, the
reflected power ends.
-Guardan
Saber Resistance ( Reactive, Self-Targeted ): When struck by a
saber, the user touches the struck area, declares Saber Resist,
and nullifies the strike.
Interactions: Can be Immunity'd.
* When used, causes a phase reset, recalculating based on
aggression/rank/etc.
Resilience ( Reflexive, Self-Targeted ): Prevents the use of
force powers targeted on them from their opponent while in
combat.
*In Combat means actively dueling without a pause greater than 3
seconds
*Cannot be Absorbed
-Consular
Mind Trick ( Reflexive, Targeted ): By gesturing a single waving
motion and declaring Mind Trick, the user gains control of a
target, issuing a command they must follow until death, or
freedom via completing said action.
Interactions: Can be Absorbed, Immunity'd, or Disabled.
* When cast, if no command is given, in 1v1, it is automatically
a surrender command. In a group fight, it is automatically
viewed as "Join my side."
* The Mind Trick ends when either the user dies, the target
dies, or the Mind Trick is nullified.
Immunity ( Reactive, Targeted ): By gesturing a downward wave
and declaring Immunity, nullifies a force power.
Interactions: Cancels any force power excluding Backstab,
Invisibility, and Disable.
* Using Immunity will immediately stop the effects of an
applicable Channeled power, or power that lasts after use (
i.e., Mind Trick )
-Sentinel
Barrier ( Reflexive, Targeted ): By putting ones hands in the
air, and declaring Barrier, they are now enveloped in a force
barrier, lasting 30 seconds. Can be used on allies, or enemies
as well.
Interactions: Can be Absorbed, Immunity'd, and Reflected.
* When cast on an ally, is able to counter targeted force
powers.
* When self-cast, or on an ally, the barrier is mobile
* When self-cast or ally-cast, other allies may join in the
barrier by physically touching the main target, or someone
connected to them, and also raising their hands
* When enemy-cast, target is immobile
* The caster can drop the barrier at will, be it self-cast,
ally-cast, or enemy-cast
* When used defensively ( ie, in response to a power ), it
refunds the opponents use of their power.
Disable ( Reflexive, Targeted ): By touching the ground, and
declaring Disable, severs a targets connection with the force,
stopping their use of force powers.
Interactions: Can be Reflected, and stopped by a Barrier.
* If a power is active when Disable is used, that power
immediately ends
