       Betrayal: A True Sith Story
       Part 3
Michael led Helios through the city taking many back roads.
Most of the building where pretty uniform but in the lateness of
the hour the city was pretty dark and too Helios' regret he was
already more then lost. Helios felt just as lost in his head as
       did on the streets.
Every thing had happened to fast he was just now beginning to
process it all. After several minutes of following Michael
Helios started to notice posters on every building.
"Wait up a minute." Helios shouted ahead to Michael who stopped
       and headed back his way.
Helios got close to the poster In the dark it was hard to see so
he reached for the pendant around his neck and clicked it on. He
felt a little silly for wearing it, and to be honest he didn't
quite remember where he got it.
The light from Helios pendant illuminated the poster. The poster
showed Sehkmet G'kar with snaggleteeth enlarged ears and crooked
       nose.
Another poster simply had Tempest G'kar holding a beheaded body
over his open mouth drinking the blood a pile of bodies building
       up next to him.
"Ah the posters!" Exclaimed Michael. "These posters help
everyone to recognize the Hellfire tribes most wanted targets.
"I know the dangers of these two quite well, pray you never meet
       them." Warned Helios.
Helios and Michael resumed their journey. Helios observed that
most of the Legion Council and several Elders where featured on
the posters. None of them where portrayed in a flattering light.
"And here we are." Stated Michael.
They where standing in front of a shop. The light where on
inside and Helios could see the merchandise. The shop appeared
to offer Saber repair services. In the window Several Hilts
where on display ranging from simple hilts to hilts with designs
etched into them. A closed sign hung in the window.
"How unusual." Helios said out loud.
"Is something wrong Helios?" asked Michael.
"Well in the Legion all Sith and Jedi build their own sabers.
there is just no need for a shop like this in the Legion."
       Explained Helios.
"My good friend Vitharr owns this shop. He has agreed to take
you in until we can get you transitioned into the Tribe." Said
Michael while knocking on the door to the shop.
Inside the shop Helios could hear stuff being shuffled around
and he heard several heavy steps approaching the door. The door
swung open to reveal a wall of a man with long red hair and a
       matching beard.
Clasping Michaels should with a large hand he spoke. "Ah Michael
your just in time. Come in, come in." He said ushering them both
       into the shop.
Inside the shop Helios was even more shocked to see several
shelf both lining the walls and free standing. Some featured
Emitters while others where lined with pommels. anything one
would need to build a saber could be found in the shop.
While Helios admired the different saber parts Michael and
Vitharr had made their way to a glass counter. "Helios come here
for moment." Michaels voice snapped him out of his wonderment
and he made his way to the counter.
"Part of the reason I asked Vitharr to take you in was so he
could take a look at your saber." Helios feeling of wonderment
gave way to sadness at the mention of Ashbringer. Helios set his
Pendragon robes down on the counter and carefully unwrapped the
       damaged saber.
"Ouch sliced off at the emitter" VItharr said to himself more
then anyone. He stretched a massive hand out in front of him.
The saber raised off the table and started to disassemble its
self and the pieces one by one started to circle his head.
"Crystals intact. Beautiful specimen too if I do say so myself."
Vitharr said without looking up and without waiting for Helios
to reply continued to examine the rest of his saber. One by one
the pieces of Ashbringer returned to the counter until finally
his disassembled saber lay before him.
"Helios was it?" He asked and Helios nodded in reply. "Well this
is some of the finest craftsmanship I've seen on a saber did you
construct it?" Jedi don't normally have attachments to things
but to Helios his saber was an exception. He felt sorrow as he
       thought about building Ashbringer.
"Yeah it was my first one" Helios managed to reply. "Well Helios
I can fix it for you and I will. But if you would allow me to
speak my mind we believe in not holding onto the past around
here. Please allow me to build you a new saber to represent your
new beginning with our Tribe." He stated
Helios was shocked for the second time that night. Legion Jedi
had always built their own sabers. Helios Hesitated for a
moment. "You know building our own saber was the Legion way I'm
am no longer part of the legion and I would be honored to have a
new saber. I will however be keeping my old saber as a reminder
       of what I escaped from."
His mind wandered back to his Family and The legion that he
betrayed. He felt hate and sadness attached to the general
thought of them but not to any memories in particular.
Michael said his good byes and Vitharr settled Helios into the
spare bedroom and allowed him to take a shower. Helios meditated
before going to sleep and found a portion of his mind was
blocked off to him. A dark spot just like Michael has described.
The feelings of contempt he felt for the legion had to be locked
in this part of his mind. try as he might Helios could not find
a way to penetrate this darkness and finally succumbed to sleep.
       * Next Day
Helios tossed and turned all night his dreams haunted by his
actions. In his dream Helios was on his knees his hands bound
behind his back. One by one, starting with his master, the
members of the legion ignited their sabers and stabbed him. With
each stab a wave of pain and the smell of cooked meat. The
wounds closing after the saber was removed. Finally Primary
approached him stared at him accusingly and ignited his saber
       and swung.
Helios was bathed it bright white light as Vitharr through open
       the curtains in his room.
"Up an at em Helios. I hate to be a bad host but Michael is on
his way to see you." He said apologetically.
Helios rolled to the edge of the bed where he sat groggily. The
light burned his eyes as if he was staring into a thousand
stars. Helios felt wracked with guilt and grief. Helios waited
       for the feelings to subside.
"Ahh your up!" Vitharr said cheerfully while reentering the
room. Helios jumped in surprise he hadn't even saw him exit the
room and Vitharr chuckled a little.
"I got something here for you." Vitharr said handing Helios a
bundle of leather. Helios unbound the bundle and rolled it out
on the bed. Inside laid his new saber. The saber had a vented
emitter with a grenade style grip below that. The sabers body
ended in a hexagon shaped pommel. Aside from the black grenade
style grip the rest of the saber was polished a bright silver.
Helios stared at the saber in shock. "It gorgeous. You did all
this in one night?" Vitharr Nodded in reply.
When Vitharr offered to make Helios a new saber he thought it
would be simple like the initiates the Pendragon padawans used
for training. Helios felt a twinge of guilt at the thought of
       home.
"I don't know how to thank you." Helios Stammered.
Helios fell out of bed as Vitharr's massive hand clapped his
back. "Ah don't worry about it. Just make me proud in your
       evaluation today!"
Evaluation? Before Helios could question Vitharr about this
evaluation a bell rang as the door to the shop opened. Vitharr
hurried out of the room. Helios picked himself up off the floor.
Helios started to dress in his Pendragon robes then discarded
them on the floor. "Time to move on." He said to no one.
Helios walked into the main shop his new saber attached to his
belt. A man in rags, with a bloodied lip and one eye swollen
shut, stood at the counter pointing to his arm. On it appeared
to be a tattoo of an ignited saber in a circle. He was pleading
with Vitharr in a hushed voice.
"Are you ok?" Helios asked. A look of pure terror flashed across
his face for a brief second and he hurriedly covered the tattoo
       on his arm.
"He's fine. Just had a bit to much to drink with his buddies at
the cantina last night and got into a bar fight." he said while
leading the man into his work shop. A few minutes later Vitharr
       emerged alone.
"Just gonna let him sleep it off on my cot in the work shop." He
said dismissively. "I'm gonna have to build on a few extra rooms
at this rate." He said with a little chuckle.
Helios really like Vitharr he was always in a good mood and did
what he could to help a stranger in need.
       *Ding*
The front door opened and in stepped Michael. "Morning." He said
walking over to Helios. "Ah so the great Vitharr does it again."
He said pointing to the saber on Helios' hip. "May I." He asked
with his hand out stretched. Helios unclipped the saber from his
Belt and handed it to Michael who turned it over in his hand.
"Well?" Vitharr asked with the same look as a child who was
       waiting for a parent approval.
After a brief moment Michael broke the silence in the room.
"Some of your best work yet!" He said handing the saber back to
Helios. Vitharr smiled with pride. Helios attached the saber
       back to his belt.
"So what's this Evaluation Vithar mentioned?" Asked Helios
Michael smiled." Oh its no big deal all new members of the
hellfire tribe are given an evaluation of their skill. Hey if
you do good enough you may even get to join Liliths personal
       guard."
       "Lilith?" Helios replied.
"Yeah she's our leader and protector." He stated and continued.
"Oh Id say almost 12 years ago our small part of the galaxy was
under attack by a small group of darkside users. They almost
wiped us out when she showed up with her guard and offered us a
       deal."
Michael leaned against the display counter and continued. "We
join her army and she would unite us and with her help we
       defeated the group."
"Today Helios will determine your future in the Hellfire tribe.
the highest honor you can achieve within the tribe would be too
score high enough in the citadel to join the Personal Guard."
Suddenly Helios' head felt as if it exploded the dark part in
his mind suddenly gave away and Helios was flooded with
Memories. Michael and Vitharr rushed to Helios as his body
       crumpled to the floor.
