       how to get 5 stars on your save *super mario 3d land

       ok, for a little while when i was trying to 100% this game, i
       decided to investigate online about how to get all 5 stars on my
       saved game. what i found, was either different sites had it
       worded differently, or the person who posted the info had the
       requirements mixed/incorrect from what ive learned. i decided to
       ignore everything i saw, and do things my own way: investigate
       the matter myself by experimenting in-game. so, here's what i
       believe are the tasks that need to completed to get all 5 stars:
       1 star- beat all levels with mario
       2 stars- beat all levels as luigi
       3 stars- get a golden flag on ALL levels
       4 stars- acquire all star coins (aka star medals)
       5 stars- re-rescue peach (this will be an added task once you
       finish everything up to s8-bowser; just go to world 8 and go to
       the very end where the big castle is)
       i am pretty certain this is everything you need to do to get all
       5 stars on your save. if i have mixed any of this or have some
       of it incorrect, just post the correction and the line i had
       mixed/wrong. as a bonus, if you did all of this without using a
       white tanooki suit or p-wing (in-game assist blocks that appear
       in normal world unfinisned stages under certain conditions),
       your 5 stars will be shiny. in addition, i should also mention
       that getting all 5 stars (shiny or not) unlocks the secret level
       s8-crown. i will write coverage on that at a later time, as this
       is by the far not only difficult to unlock, but also the most
       difficult to beat. i will tell you more later.
