This time of year...

It used to be that, not so long ago, rockfishing and lingcod
were open year-round from boats, and salmon season on the ocean
opened at the Cove in February, and there were more river
opportunities... Those were the good ol' days.
We have to work a bit harder for our kayakfishing opportunities
any more. I'm considering dedicating a half day or so to either
Freshwater Lagoon or perch fishing Elk River Beach soon.
Chime in with days of availability, and be ready for a last
minute notice from me regarding an outing, and hopefully we'll
get OTW soon! :)

This sounds like a great plan... even if it is a long drive.
;) I think I'll try freshwater lagoon very soon.

I wish California would follow Oregon and reduce the bag limit,
yet have year round fishing. I need a rock fishing fix! I need
to start spearfishing more :-\.

I'm thinking about droping some lines from the Jeti Friday or
can do Freshwater on Friday or Saturday starting next week. Bass
fishing is all I use to do back home.
