UKCS is gone

Hi lads,
since a majority of the people here are ex UKCS gamers, i would
like to let you know that we received a message yesterday from
TC (the owner of UKCS), that UKCS has been shut down.
The UKCS #1 server is now gone, and wont be coming back. The
forums will be online for sometime.
A small quote from the message that the admin's received
"We've had a brilliant time and reached some incredible highs
along the way!
But it is now time to close the curtains as times have changed
and ive kept things up as long as I can to let things naturally
die off over time.
I have close down the final CSS#1 server today."
And what a run it has been.. I sincerly hope that Lazy Rebels
will proceed with the playerbase it has, and will grow overtime!
I have found a new server to play on in Lazy Rebels, and i hope
other ex UKCS players will too :)

One of the saddest messages I have read in a long time. Thanks
RZ for passing this news on. UKCS was amazing and I for one was
grateful to have played there for the many years I did.

UKCS was my main go-to, as it was for many others for years. I
can't remember when but after Fragmasters seemed to close down
their source servers I found UKCS and man, good times.
My earliest memories of it was constantly getting kicked for my
past username of 'Anal Seepage' :p I still have tons of
screenshots on my old HDD with players I haven't seen in years
:D
Sad times, but needs must and everyone's welcome here - UKCS 2.0

What can I say about UKCS server 1. I played there for many
years. 3000 hours.
During those years I have come to know many different types of
people around the world. We've been playing and talking. Talk
about everything between heaven and earth. There have been many
laughs over the years.
I probably wasn't the easiest player to handle for admins. This
resulted in several shutdowns. One up to six months.
When I think back to those evenings when there were 64 players
online and there was chaos on the server ..... right then it was
the most fun. We played, laughed, and had a great time together.
So sure, it feels sad when an epoch goes into the grave.
The lesson I take with me is to have fun while it lasts.
I hope this server can take on and remind us of how much fun we
had at UKCS and that together we create something new and
fantastic.
Thanks to all of you I had the privilege of getting to know and
play with at UKCS.

I started on UKCS on 2007 and from time to time it was my
favorite server, in fact the only server i was playing, i love
it all, i thank you for the endless night it was awesome!!!

i started on dads army server then yuk shame these servers when
down some of the guys are still about playing
