Switchingpaw nimbly jumped onto the cactus, his tough pads not
feeling the small prickers. Every true BloodClanner's paws were
tough and hard, used to traversing the desert and built up from
the hot ground. The tuxedo tom scanned the dry landscape and
jumped off, twitching his whiskers in boredom. what to do, what
to do?

[center][font=georgia]A sleek black body leapt down from the
caves above, yellow eyes gleaming. "Good evening, Switchingpaw,"
Cougarbite meowed in her friendly tone, which was rarely how the
ebony leader spoke. She lashed her tail and licked a paw,
glancing down at the future medicine cat apprentice. This anti
clan she was building was going to take down the pro clans for
sure! Cougarbite could tell some promotions were in order.

[sup]Mossfire, the medicine cat, was out collecting herbs when
he noticed Switchingpaw.
"What the hell are you doing?" He asked, eyeing the apprentice.
"Unless your suicidal I wouldn't recommend jumping onto the damn
cactus." The medicine cat flicked his tail.
"But I'm just the medicine cat, my opinion is irrelevant."[/sup]

[center][font=times]"Hi Cougarbite," he replied, plopping his
butt down with a slouch and a yawn. Unlike his fellow
apprentices who tended to be hostile sometimes, he was easy,
friendly, and as his actions up to this point with his leader
showed, very informal. He hadn't been appointed a mentor yet,
apparently his future as a warrior was "undecided" or some
nonsense. But it took no longer than a few seconds for the young
tom's spine to stiffen straight and for him to jump at
Mossfire's unexpected voice. He turned to look at the medicine
cat, a crooked grin creeping its way onto his features. "You sly
old fox, creeping up on your leader like that. Don't worry
Cougarbite, I'll detain him!" With an air of superiority he
leaped dutifully onto Mossfire's unsuspecting tail, pinning it
to the ground. He knew Mossfire wasn't old, but for whatever
reason he always felt at ease with the medicine cat. At ease
enough to play a healthy game of
pin-his-tail-cause-I-hope-it'll-piss-him-off-cause-I'm-a-fearles
s-bastard.

Clairvoyance padded up behind the leader her brown tabby head
tilted to one side as she surveyed the apprentice. "Hello." The
deputy meowed with a brisk nod of her head.

as she glanced at her leader. She dipped her head to Cougarbite
and said, "Good evening," The ginger she-cat looked up, bright
green eyes glinting vividly. Her tail wrapped around her paws as
she sat down on the sand.[/font][/center]

[sup]Mossfire had known Switchingpaw long enough to learn his
tricks. He let the apprentice jump on his tail, he then tried to
jab at him with a paw. "Whatever will I do now without my tail ?
I don't think I can go on." The medicine cat flopped onto his
side.
"If only.. someone could save me!" He yowled, pretending to die.
He liked to let the apprentice feel like he was doing a good
job, which he was anyways.[/sup]

idiots." she mewed, licking her paw and rubbing it on her
forehead. She stood up, and flexed her long, sharp claws. "This
won't be good practice, if we ever get to fight anything. It's
been so long before I've killed another cat..." the siamese
said, sighing, and running her tongue over her dull teeth.
Stupid dull teeth. I could have so much of an advantage if they
were sharp. She thought, growling deep in her throat, but
quietly so the others' couldn't hear.[/font]

she laid across the sand. It was true, being out here in the
heat wasn't worth patrolling as she was already even though not
apprentice aged and the risk being high of being snatched up by
a hawk or something. She didn't care, she was brave and that was
all there was to it. Chasingkit flickered her tail tip, a sigh
escaping her.[/font][/center]
