She shook her head and traced the lid of her cup with her
fingertip.
"It's not that its a bad idea....except...it's a bad idea. I
mean, money, our jobs...and well...we're still practically
strangers to one another. I'm all for the journey, but there's
still a path to follow before we can make it."

He quickly gulped down his coffee, ignoring the scalding
sensation. "You're right," he said, feeling his heart and throat
throb. "Anyways." Why did he care that she had essentially
turned him down? It was spur of the moment, true... but he had
always lived his life like that. He'd had no other choice.

She watched him and sighed.
"If it makes you feel any better...I'm really enjoying this time
with you. I'd love to make this a regular thing." her cheeks
turned bright red. "Like...maybe we could call it dating...or
something." She bit her lip and bowed her head a little, looking
up at him through her lashes.

His heart fluttered slightly and he nodded a bit quickly, eyes
just a bit wide. "Yeah, sure, totally," he agreed. He hoped she
wouldn't think he was too desperate. He was strangely drawn to
her.

His quick response was a bit...odd, but it made her smile
nonetheless.
"Really?" she asked, somehow feeling like that was correct
response, which was kind of dumb. Almost as if she actually
thought he'd say no. Well, he could have, sure. But it was kind
of noticeable that he liked her...right? She questioned herself
as usual.

He smiled and tried to relax himself a bit. "Yeah," he replied
in a much slower fashion. "I'd like to date you... see where it

As if her eyes turned into hearts, they narrowed into her smile
and her cheeks reddened straight into her ears. She wanted to
get up and prance around yelling how he'd just pretty much
become her boyfriend, but she didn't feel it was even that
serious yet. 'See where it goes', that stuck in her head the
whole time and she would work with that. She definitely wanted
to see where this went, there was no doubting that.
"I would definitely like to see where it goes." she grinned
still. It was that point that she glanced up at the clock on the
wall and took note of the time. She had about forty minutes til
she had to be at the office. She strapped her purse around her
shoulder and started searching for her keys. "But we should
probably get going." She instead pulled out a small notebook,
jotted down her cell phone number and slid it across the table
to him with a little laugh. "I love that, it's like passing
notes in class. That's my number, since I have yours."

She was slightly taken aback by the sudden schedule for their
next date, but she knew her schedule was empty, and if anything
was going on it would be with Ami, who she was sure was still
getting used to seeing that Heero guy.
"Yeah, that sounds great!" she responded. "I guess..." she
giggled a little, "I guess I can pick you up after I get off
work?"

Duo smiled so hard, his cheeks hurt. "Yeah, sure. Or you can
just come over and I can cook something. I'm pretty decent at
boiling water," he joked.
