She only looked at him for a moment and then sipped her coffee
again. "Is she something to worry about? I mean...like if you
started dating someone...would she make a deal out of it?"

She smirked a bit, and cast her gaze out the window nearby as a
couple walked by, hand-in-hand. She held a longing look in her
eyes for a time, but then as if she were snapped back to
reality, she blinked and took a sip of her coffee, then looked
over at Duo.

He watched her gaze and looked out the window, then back at her.

Her thumb tapped on the cup and she glanced back outside again
and then down between her hands with the cup, her forehead
touching the lip. "I've had a few flings, but none of them ever
really lasted. Otherwise, I'm a free bird. Go where I want, do
what I want..." the sadness filled her eyes even though she
tried to be proud of her lifestyle.

He glimped the sadness in her eyes and put his coffee down.
Reaching over the space between them, he took her hand. "Tell me
more," he urged quietly. "What do you want? What will make you
happy?"

She gripped her coffee in her other hand and watched her own
hand go into his, easily. "Well, its nice being free to do as I
please and all, but...I don't know. Sometimes, its nice to be
able to share those experiences with someone too." She met his
eyes and looked between them.

He was crazy. Heero was gonna chew him out for it for sure,
but....
"Let's do it," he said quickly. "You and me... let's just go and
see the sights, everything you want."

She stared at him for a moment, and then put her cup down and
snatched his away quickly, popping the lid and sniffing it
before take a sip. She gave a confused look at it and replaced
the lid and gave it back to him.
"Did you drink something else before we came here?" she laughed
a little.

He laughed a little too quickly and brought his hand to the back
of his head, rubbing it. "No, but that was a funny, right?" He
couldn't even form a proper sentence. He shouldn't have just
gone for it like that...
