She nodded, stepping up to the counter. She ordered a caramel
latte and stood slightly aside so Duo could order as well.

He shrugged and ordered himself a black coffee, then paid for
the order, moving aside to the pick up counter.

"You know, sometimes I end up being after work for several
hours, just filing paperwork and double checking the work of
some of the other accountants." She stepped over to the pickup
counter and looked down at her nails. "They've got me at the top
of the others and basically, I'm the one who gets to make sure
that all of their mistakes are corrected, even if it means
sitting up all night filing through their paperwork."

resting on his hips. "I can't imagine sitting at a desk all

She nodded and stood silent for a moment as the barista brought
over their drinks. She smiled her sweet smile and picked up both
cups, handing Duo his. "A desk job is a desk job though. And it
pays the bills, so who am I to complain?" she grinned and took a
small sip of her drink. She looked around and spotted a table
that she started walking to.

He followed her footsteps and nodded in agreement. "True... but
hey, if you could do anything at all, what would it be?" he
asked, meeting her eyes as they sat down.

She took in a deep breath and blew it out in an 'oooh' comment.
"That's a tricky question. When I was young....I don't know, I
kind of wanted to just travel the world and see all the nations,
go into space and visit the colonies, well there's more now but
back then there were only a couple. But I definitely just wanted
to get out and see the sights. I always hated the idea of
working for a living. It's not fun."

He listened attentively and nodded. "I get that," he murmured.
"I've seen a lot in my life. And to be honest, I'd more prefer
just to live quietly the rest of my days. But travelling with
someone like you sounds just as nice." He grinned.

She blushed and sipped her coffee. After a moment, she put her
cup down and look straight into his violet eyes. "So I am sure
you've already basically told me, I know you said you don't
really date, cause...your living situation and such...but...I'm
curious. Is there really no...um..." she hesitated to even ask
the question cause she didn't want an answer that was anything
but 'no'. "You aren't seeing anyone?"

He blinked, hesitating for a split second. "No," he replied.
"There's no one. There was this woman.... but it was just sex. I
haven't seen her in awhile."
