"Mhm." she responded, taking the last pin out of her mouth.
"Yep, I'm just getting the rest of my things together and I'll
be on my way. It'll take me about fifteen minutes to get there
anyway." She turned and left the bathroom and went to her
bedroom to finish freshening up.

"Alright cool," he grinned, starting his shower. "I'll see you
in a bit." He said his goodbyes then quickly stripped and jumped
in. He gave himself a good scrub, washed his hair and face, then
rinsed and jumped out.

She hung up and finished up getting ready, and as expected, she
was ready to walk out the door about ten minutes later. She got
in her car and started driving for Duo's place. She turned up
the radio and soon, as she pulled into the yard, she did a
double take to make sure she was looking well enough. She picked
up her phone and text him. 'I'm outside when you're ready.'

She didn't receive a text back, but within a few moments, Duo
was walking out the front door and heading to her car. He was
dressed in some jeans, a blue-gray Henley, and his normal
steel-toe work boots. He opened the car door and slid in,
grinning at her. "Morning," he greeted.

"Good morning." she responded, smiling at him. She put the car
in reverse and they headed out to the coffee shop of her choice.
"So, still no truck eh?"

He rubbed the back of his head, somewhat embarassed. "No," he
admitted. "I'm hoping that I can get it later this week."

She giggled a bit and shook her head. "I can help you if you
need..."

"Help how?" He looked over at her, genuinely curious.

"I have my ways." she grinned and chuckled. "I also work closely
with someone who works for that particular towing agency. I
might be able to work the books for you."

"That would be UH-mazing," he laughed a little. "Paying the lot
rent and bills always took priority over the truck. It's the
off-season though, so it's been harder to make it."
