He nodded and kept eating. After a few more minutes, he finished
the last bite and looked at his watch. Slowly, and carefully, he
stood up from the table, grabbing another sip of the water
before he turned away.
"Thanks...I should head back..."

"You're welcome," she said warmly. "The kitchen is always open
for anyone working, just in case they get hungry."
She picked up his plate and silverware to go put in the sinks.

Again, he nodded and started back for the elevator, but as he
started to leave the kitchen, he turned and looked back at Ami.
"Heero..." he spoke, replacing his ear piece back in his ear and
straightening his suit.

"Pleasure to meet you, Heero," she murmured before walking to
the sinks. She wished that she could find someone for the night,
she was started to feel lonely.

Heero nodded and left from sight of her, then returned to his
post. As the elevator doors opened, there were people gathered
throughout the hallway. He sighed and stepped out, finding
Relena in the mix. She turned and smiled.
"Heero, there you are." He walked over to her and gave her a
grim smile, then placing a hand on the small of her back, he led
her out of the building and into her limo, then he slid inside
with her. "Where were you?" she asked him, after the door was
closed.
"I needed something to eat." he told her. She nodded.
"Okay, did you have a good meal?"
"Mm." he responded, looking out the window at the crowds of
people who were gathered outside as the limo moved away. 'That
woman...' he thought to himself.

Ami took a deep breath just as the head chef announced that they
were finished for the day. She groaned in relief and started to
help with tear down and the cleaning. She wondered if Michelle
felt like talking, if she had the time. They had gone to school
together, but had ended up miles apart after high school.

Michelle was nose deep in paperwork, flipping and filing through
a thick folder of paper, writing down numbers here and there,
stamping signatures and writing more numbers. She sighed and
pushed up her reading glasses on her nose.
"Fifty nine pounds....forty two bags...and three
transports...how do these people ever plan to get this finished
by the end of the week." she grumbled, closing the folder and
pulling up another one. Working as an accountant for this
recycling company, she always wondered why she didn't find
something a little more glorifying. She could have worked for
the Embassy or something. She sighed and looked at her watch to
check the time.

She was nearly at closing time, when the front door opened and a
very out-of-breath man ran in clutching an envelope.
"I brought my payment!" he wheezed, walking up.

Michelle nearly jumped out of her chair and sat up straight.
"Oh my goodness!" she stood up and stepped out from behind the
desk. "Okay, well do you have your work number?" she asked,
pulling her glasses from her nose and pushing them to the top of
her head.

Duo caught his breath and pulled out his phone to get that info.
He quickly read it off to her.
"Duo Maxwell, number 4712934."
