He smiled, something that seemed like a proud smile as he
straightened his stance a bit more, and his smile was an
actual....smile. "Great. Well...you have time today right? When
do you go to lunch? Or we can make it dinner, and go when you're
off work?"

smiling back at him. "I'll give you my number and we can hammer
out the details."

Immediately, he pulled his phone out of his pocket, unlocked it
and handed it to her. "Here, you can put it in my phone."

She took it from him, fingers brushing against his palm, and
rapidly typed in her name and number. "There," she said as she
handed it back. "If I'm at work, I don't answer right away, but
I will see it."

He took his phone back and nodded. With some quick presses on
his screen, he made one more tap and looked up at her. "I just
sent you a text, so you have my number. How about you just call
me when you're ready. I'm free the rest of the day." he smiled
slightly and slipped his phone back in his pocket.

Her phone chimed with a cute little notification, and she
smiled. "Well, I'll have to try to sneak into the walk-in fridge
to text you," she said with a laugh.

He smiled and nodded, then gave a small wave and made his way
back out of the kitchen so as not to disturb her any longer from
her work.

She waved back to him then went back to her station. As the rest
of her work day passed, the two exchanged texts almost
constantly. Their conversation was mostly about what they would
do for dinner, but also how their day was going as well. At the
end of her shift, Amilia hung up her apron and swiped her badge
to clock out.
'Finally out of here!' she sent the nessage to Heero as she
walked out of the kitchens towards the elevator.

Heero was already standing there next to the elevator as she
came out. He was kicked back against the wall, one foot pressed
again the brick. He looked up after he checked her text and saw
her coming out, then pushed off the wall and stood straight,
straightening his clothes.
"Do you drive? Or do you need a lift?" he asked, tucking his
phone into the butt pocket of his pants.

She looked at him in pleasant surprise but then nodded. "A ride
would be good, yes," she admitted. "I don't have a license so I
carpool or use the public transport." She was a little
embarrassed, having admitted that, but she hoped it wouldn't
phase him.
