Duo gave him an incredulous look. "Yes! I barely know the woman,
but we're gonna go out sometime...." He huffed. "I'm not a

This brought Heero to laughter, an oddity in itself. He took
another drink and a deep breath.
"Maybe you're on to something though...we've both done our part
for quite a few years. Hell, six years I've dealt with Relena.
It's not really a great thing we have...and you're right, Hilde
is toxic to you." He shrugged and leaned back in the chair.
"I've got the day off tomorrow, maybe I'll head down to the
embassy."

He nodded and thumbed the opening of his bottle.
"Yeah...I mean, she's cute...she's kind." he shrugged. "I don't
know how it will go, but I suppose it's worth a shot."

Heero just sat staring at his bottle at that point. He nodded
quietly and then picked up his beer and knocked the rest of it
back in three big gulps.
"I don't know about a relationship, but if it get that far,
we'll see. Gonna be tough dealing with Relena at that point."

stretched as he stood up to take care of their emptied bottles.
