When Heero heard her name repeated, he snapped his attention
back to Duo.
"Oh, no." he shook his head. "There's not any other woman on
this planet who could deter me, what's the point. The only one
who ever tried to understand me was Relena. Even then I have to
wonder if she really even does."

Duo shook his head at him when he looked over. "Maybe she
doesn't. But why not meet someone new, have a little fun?" He

He gave a little laugh.
"You met someone? Wouldn't that mean you'd lose out on your one
night stands with Hilde?" he chuckled and drank some more.

Duo rolled his eyes and scoffed at Heero's reaction and comment.
"Hilde and I are no good with each other," he muttered. "We've
tried and proven it several times over. The s*x is decent at
best, but it's better than nothing."
He tipped his head back and polished off his beer, smacking his
lips. "Besides... I'm tired of meaningless flings."

He got up from his chair and offered to take Duo's empty beer.
"I can't say it's any different between Relena and I. Problem
is, she's the only way I'd get laid." he actually laughed a
little.

He handed the empty bottle over, taking down his hair from its
messy bun. He'd cut it recently, and now it fell to his
shoulders instead of his waist.
"Yeah, but don't you want something more?" He asked, watching
Heero.

Heero took his bottle and retrieved another for both of them,
popping both the tops.
"I don't know...some days I think this is all I'll ever get. A
family is just too real for me. And I'm not sure I'm really the
type to marry and depend on someone or have them depend on me."
He handed Duo his fresh bottle and sat back down, drinking his.

Duo thanked him for it, then swirled his beer around slightly,
and took a slow drink. "We're not broken, you know," he said
quietly. "I mean yeah we saw and did some f*cked up sh*t, but we
still deserve the same as everyone else. Maybe even more so." He
laid his head back on the couch, staring at the ceiling.

He couldn't stop the smile on his face. "Well, she works for the
accounting company over this place," he explained, featuring to
mean the junkyard. "Anyways, I brought in my late payment---shut
up, it wasn't "bank seizes property" late---and she took it.
She's super cute. And uh, when my truck got towed, she gave me a
ride home. I bought us food on the way."
