Brophie and Sophar (An Exiles Ship story)
       By: rclemens86 Date: May 6, 2018, 2:26 pm

Sophie dropped the last box in a cluster of other boxes and
stood up straight, hands on her hips and grinned. "Last box!"
she smiled. Having finally made this move to join both of their
things together, moving all of their stuff in now was the final
step to completing her relationship with Brosar. She was happier
than anything and now, it would all be able to move in the right
       direction.

Hearing Sophie's voice from the other room, Brosar closed one of
the kitchen cabinets she was stocking and smiled. Finally a
place to call their own. She looked around the quaint kitchen of
their new apartment, albeit it small, it was going to be their
sanctuary, their home. Brosar pulled back her long brown hair
into a small pony tail and sighed. Time for a break, "Sophie,
did you see the box labeled 'cutlery'? I was going to make us
       some lunch!"

She looked around at the scattered boxes and read the labels,
thinking back to when she seen that box and where it went.
"Check the boxes on the dining table." She called back and
started weaving her way out of the box fort she'd not meant to
put herself in. She headed for the dining table herself, in
order to help her find the named box. "I am sure I put it here."

"Dining table...dining table..." Brosar looked around the
       kitchen, boxes scattered everywhere.
"I know the dining table is around here...somewhere..." She
went through the little path she tried to make with the boxes
and stubbed her toe on the wooden leg of the table.
"Ow! Found the table!" She leaned over, using the table as
support, and massaged her bare toe, her eyes scanned the boxes
piled trying to read the labels.

Sophie snickered when she heard the response and entered the
       room, also looking around.
"Are you alright? That sounded like it 'wood' hurt." She tried
not laughing but it was a failure to begin with.

"Ugh, puns, don't start!" Once Sophie got started on puns, she
would just keep them rolling. Brosar didn't know how, it was
like Sophie was a dictionary of puns. Although they were usually
       pretty funny.
"I'm fine though, do you see the box?" She set her foot down and
continued looking. Her eyes kept glancing back at her new room
mate though. Sophie was thin and had dark hair, she'd let it
grow out since she left Arizona and it looked great on her. She
looked great. Brosar blushed and shook her head, need to find
the box so she could make lunch.

Sophie laughed and looked around for the box, still unable to
see...there it is. Sophie out a laugh as she spotted it on the
       kitchen counter.
"Looks like you and that table were bound to run into troubles,
better 'leaf' it alone, cause the box is on the kitchen
counter." She chuckled and then started laughing.

Brosar looked in the direction Sophie was referring to and saw
the box on the other side of the sink, near where she had been
       standing moments ago. "Oh....right, thanks!"
She carefully made her way back to the sink and rustled through
the box, pulling out a bread knife and a butter knife. It wasn't
much, but sandwiches were better than nothing. Plus her family
had sent her with a fresh loaf of home made bread, so that was a
bonus. Brosar shoved a few boxes out of her way to get to the
fridge and pulled out the ingredients and set them on the
counter. Carefully she started to slice pieces of fresh bread
       for their meal.
"So how are you liking the East coast so far, Sophie? Not as hot
as Arizona, right? I'm surprised you're not wearing a sweater
       right now!" Brosar giggled.

"I'm loving it. And, it's not so bad. I can manage without a
sweater for now. But you might hear me complaining later when
I'm ready to turn the heat on because it's fifty degrees
outside." she chuckled a bit, watching her room mate make lunch.
This had been a long awaited moment in time, but why was it
feeling so...hot? She shook it off as an awkwardness and smiled.

"You can throw a sweater on at 50, you're not running me out of
the apartment by scorching me to death with the furnace." She
replied smiling. She made the sandwiches quickly and handed one
to Sophie. Brosar moved some of the boxes off of the table and
the chairs so Sophie could have a seat.
"Want something to drink? We've got water...water....and
well...water...until we go to the store...sorry."
