Jackson turned the corner into the aisle first and paused,
hesitantly. He almost turned back around but looked at Avery and
stopped, then continued down the aisle. Avery saw this and
looked at the two up ahead.
“What’s that about?” She asked. Jackson walked close behind her.
“That’s the girl I met at the arcade.” He murmured. Avery’s eyes
widened and she grinned, speeding up a bit to catch up to them.
Jackson sighed and tried to stop her. “Avery, please...don’t...”
he tried, his voice echoing down the aisle. He blushed and
       slumped along.

Neither cousin noticed the pair coming towards them.
"So we have the meat and the canned goods, and I'll start
patching the clothing with the others," Asha said, twirling the
pen in her fingers. Haka nodded.
"Grandfather has me helping with the upkeep of the cabins so
they aren't drafty when the snow comes," he stretched. "Did he
say anything about making money this winter?"
"Making skin rugs, throws, and the like for tourists," she
       rolled her eyes. "The usual."

       Avery continued down the aisle.
“Hey!” She called out, getting about halfway down the aisle
after them. Jackson was still dragging along behind her and
       groaning his embarrassment.
“Avery, stop!” He protested in a grumble.

Both Asha and Haka stopped, turning to see who had hollered at
them. Haka was confused at first, but then his eyes fell upon
Jackson and he groaned internally. The sister reached them
first, and Haka crossed his arms.
"Uh, hi," Asha greeted awkwardly. She didn't know this girl,
however it was obvious that she was related to Jackson.

Avery grinned and left the cart and walked up to them. “Hi, I’m
Avery, I’m Jackson’s twin sister.” She put out her hand to greet
the girl and her eyes met the male with her.

"Asha, and this is my cousin Haka," She greeted, slowly taking
her hand. She was still in a state of somewhat surprise. Haka
glanced at Avery, then looked back at Jackson who was still
       making his way to them.

“Nice to meet you!” She smiled. “Jacks told me about meeting you
in the arcade. He hoped he would run into you again and here we
       are...”
“Alright Ave...enough, please.” Jackson pleaded with her as he
caught up finally. “I’m sorry Asha...she’s very chatty...does
this to me every time she gets a chance.” He shook his head,
embarrassed. Avery just giggled and her eyes drifted to the
cousin. He found him rather handsome.

"Ah, yeah, nice to meet you. Jackson and I didn't really get to
talk too much at the arcade," Asha said, looking at Jackson.
Haka noticed Avery staring at him.
       "What?" He asked rather bluntly.

Avery recoiled and wrinkled her nose at him with a cute smile.
Without a word, she turned away and went for their grocery list
       items. Jackson sighed.
“I’m sorry, she just really hasn’t been able to get out much
since we settled, so I think she’s just hoping to make friends
with anyone.” He looked over at his sister and back to Asha,
then to her cousin. “Sorry if we bothered you.”

Haka rose a brow at the odd little smile from Avery as Asha
       started to speak.
"I'm sorry, but it's not normal for..." She hesitated, "its not
normal for people like you to be friendly with people like us.
No offense. And my cousin hasn't really had any good
       interactions--"
"Asha," her cousin spoke warning. She grimaced.
"Sorry," she murmured. "That's not my place to tell. But we're
just not used to friendlies outside of the reservation, so
forgive us for being brash or wary." She smiled apologetically.
