She stood quickly as well, although the space between them
wasn't a very comfortable distance. She looked at his eyes and
then quickly glanced away and cleared her throat. "E-excuse
me...I, um I still need to get to school." She started to turn
from him, taking her cell phone from her pocket. She was hoping
she'd be able to reach one of her friends with a car, but as she
drew out her phone, she pressed a button to light the screen
only to watch it die out. "Damnit..." she cursed under her
breath and stopped in her tracks. She had remembered that she
didn't plug in her phone the night before, and now she was
reeping the karma of it. She slouched and looked back just
briefly enough to see him still standing there and started back
towards home. "No worries..." she murmured to herself, "there's
got to be a way..."

He watched her for a few moments before one of the other men
called out to him. "Jubei!! Come help me move Suki's bed...
again." He shrugged and started into the manor, leaving the
strange girl on her own.

At school a few hours later, Morei sat at her desk and stared at
her blank notebook. Her pencil slowly doodling around the edges
of the page. She snapped to when the bell rang for lunch and
looked at her page. "Jubei" was written in continuous characters
all the way around the edges of her page. She blushed and
snapped her notebook shut and shoved it in her bag. Clearing her
throat she got up from her seat and headed out of the classroom.
As she walked down the hallway, she couldn't get his face out of
her mind.
"Rei!" her brother's voice called for her. She stopped and
turned to him.
"Hey, Hiro-san." she smiled.
"Ready for lunch? I'm gonna go grab some drive-thru with Su.
Wanna come?" He smiled, adjusting his bag over his shoulder.
Morei shrugged and nodded.
"Sure..." She then turned and followed him out. Over lunch, they
conversed about Morei's seemingly peculiar mood and she
explained to them about the new family in the cul-de-sac. They
ate lunch on the way back to the school and Sugii laughed about
the incident in her first hour she'd witnessed. They then
separated ways and went back to their last few classes for the
day. Morei walked into her classroom for biology and took her
seat, taking her things out of her back and setting them on her
desk. She hadn't realized that when she set her bag down, her
notebook fell out and opened to her doodled page. She then sat
and opened her textbook.

The teacher walked in and after a few moments began teaching.
Halfway through the lesson, the door opened and a blonde walked
in. She wore the school uniform slightly modified, and her long
hair was pulled into two braided chignons with bangs in her
violet eyes. Walking up to the teacher she handed him a note and
said something. The teacher nodded and turned back to the
blackboard. As the girl started to leave, she caught sight of
Morei's notebook and picked it up to give back. Seeing the name
her eyes widened. "Hey you... meet me on the roof after school,"
she said quickly, handing it over as she scurried to get back to
class.

Again, Morei flushed, seeing her notebook open to the doodled
page set in front of her by some strange student she'd never met
before. She grumbled something under breath and tried to
continue listening to her instructor.
As the day came to an end, Morei yawned and put all of her
things back in her bag. She sighed heavily and watched all of
the other student file out of the classroom. Purposely, she
slowed her movement, wondering what would happen if she didn't
meet this stranger on the roof.
"Rei?" Hiro spoke, peeking his head around the door. "You
coming?"
"Yeah, I gotta do something first. Can...can you come with me?"
"Sure, where to?" He raised a brow.
"The rooftop..." she cringed, trying to smile.
"The roof...Morei, is someone bullying you?!"
"I-uh, I don't know Hiro...she came in handed me my notebook and
told me to meet her on the rooftop after school..." She tossed
her bag onto her shoulder and started towards him.
"We'll handle it...c'mon." He put his hand out to her and
grinned, then they walked to the roof. Morei lead the way
through the door, and Hiro hung back a little bit, staying in
the shadows so as just to keep on eye on his baby sister.
"Um...Hello?" Morei called out, nervously walking around. "I'm
here..."

"Good!" the girl pushed off the chain link fence, the setting
sun lighting her hair up so that it almost looked like fire.
"Just curious, what did the Jubei named on your notebook look
like?" she asked quickly, pushing hair out of her eyes.

Morei blushed crimson. She swallowed hard.
"Why? Its just a doodle I did." She held the strap of her bag
over her shoulder rather tightly and watched the young woman
carefully. "He...he's not your boyfriend or anything is he?" She
would die if he were. He was so handsome and the fact that she
couldn't forget his face was enough to make her swoon. "I didn't
do anything wrong...I swear, if he's your boyfriend, I'll forget
all about him, I swear. I'm sorry..."
Hiro stood watching the situation happening, wondering when and
if he would need to intervene. He was trying to get a look at
the young woman speaking to his sister, he couldn't really see
her face with the sunlight setting behind her. Her voice was
something to behold though. He knew he'd not be able to get it
out of his head. Maybe after this was over, if he didn't have to
tear the girls apart, he'd be able to get a better look at her.

The girl burst out laughing. "Boyfriend? Ew, no. He's my
brother," she snickered, moving to grab her bottle of water from
her school bag. From this angle she was able to be seen better.

Morei sighed heavily in relief. "Oh...so you guys are the new
family at the old Kaoru Shrine? I didn't know the family rented
out or sold...er...whatever..."
Hiro couldn't hear much of the conversation as Morei always
spoke too damn quietly, but he caught a good look at the young
woman speaking to his sister and he hadn't realized his mouth
dropped open. The sunlight only made her image goddess-like as
he looked at her. It didn't seem the situation was going to take
a dive, so he straightened up and adjusted his clothes. He
started then, to walk over to his sister.
Morei watched the young woman for a moment noticing how she did
sort of resemble the boy she'd met this morning and stumbled in
front of in her haste to get back home. She cringed and reddened
some more.

"It's our shrine," she said with a shrug, tossing hair out of
her eyes again as she took a drink. "He's an ass by the way. My
brother." Her eyes drifted over to the man approaching and
lingered for a moment before turning back. "I'm Satsuki."
