"We've been waiting for a week, chill out Heero," he replied,
rolling his eyes. He squinted as he looked around and then
headed for the remains of the base that had been destroyed as a
result of Heero which led him to attempting self-destruction.

Heero looked out upon the wreckage and his stomach turned.
"Duo...I don't want to be here..." he grumbled, trying to get
the memories out of his mind. As they drove, two figures could
be seen walking about a mile ahead, coming out of the wrecked
Base. Heero watched them as they approached.
"Maybe we can catch a ride from these guys." Michelle pointed,
seeing a car approaching them two women, walking.

Ami reached behind her and felt for the butt grip of the SIG
Sauer 226 she carried at all times. "All right... stick your
thumb out," she replied. She would be ready if they tried
anything funny.
Duo slowed as they began to approach the figures and he
recognized them as women.

Michelle grinned and stuck her thumb out to the car. "I hope
this isn't going to be bad..." she thought out loud.
Heero sat up straight in his seat and watched as they got closer
to them.

Michelle looked at them, she felt as though she recognized them,
but she wasn't sure. "We're just trying to get to the next town
over."
Heero eased slightly away from the car door, leaning on the
center console. He looked at the young woman speaking and then
past her to the woman behind her. "We really shouldn't pick up
hitch hikers..." he murmured, tilting his head towards Duo.

Duo ignored Heero, like he almost always did, and motioned to
the back. "Hop on in, we'll take you." He smiled at them.
Ami looked at Michelle and nudged her forward; she hadn't seen
the passenger of the car yet.

Michelle grinned. "Thanks. Come on Aims." She walked around to
the backdoor and hoped in.
Heero sighed and watched the other woman as a breeze blew in
through the window and moved the ribbon at his thigh. He felt
uncomfortable.

"Aims?" she echoed warily as she climbed in too. "That's a
different nickname...but okay..." She was seated directly behind
Heero at this point.
"So you ladies wanna join us for some food?" Duo asked as he
started driving again.
