"Ami...I'm sorry! It was like four months ago, we were fighting
all the time back then! I had forgotten about it, to be
perfectly honest. When she called and said she lost it, and
that's the exact words, I didn't have any clue what she was
talking about." He groaned again and sat on the bed.

Ami growled under her breath and grabbed her old duffel bag from
the wars, starting to stuff clothing into it.

"I'm going to a hotel for the night," was her tight reply. She
finished throwing clothes in the bag, then put her cell phone
charger in it as well. Without giving him a chance to talk, she
swiftly started downstairs.

He followed after her. "Why because I didn't tell you one thing?
Come on Ami, you know that's not fair. We were fighting, you
were barely talking to me!" He tried keeping up with her through
the whole house. "You're not even going to give me a chance to
be sorry about this, are you?"

She stopped at the door and looked at him through a veil of
angry tears. "Heero Yuy, this is bigger than just ONE THING!
This... this is everything," she started to cry now. "I didn't
know very well what I was doing with Quatre... and all I'm
seeming to get from you is that you slept with Relena because we
were fighting, you knew what you were doing..."
She stared at him, shaking as she held her bag and had her hand
on the doorknob. "Do you even really love me?... or did you just
settle for me because Relena was in too public of a position for
your liking?"

"Excuse me?!" he stared back, now getting angry. "How the hell
can you say something like that?! If I didn't f*cking love you,
I would not have let you have my name, my kids, my money, my
house...none of it!! The fact that you would even challenge the
integrity of my feelings toward you is just bullsh*t! We would
have NO f*cking life if I didn't f*cking love you!" He growled
and turned, waving his hand in the air. "You know
what...go...just...go." And he walked out of the room, leaving
her at the door.

She watched him leave tiredly, feeling a deep ache. She knew
things were never going to change. Unless... the forbidden
thought rose to her mind. Going to the entry way closet, she
rummaged through until she found a thin black box and stood up
with it. She glanced back at the room where Heero was with a
sigh.
"I'm doing this for us... for our marriage," she murmured softly
as she headed out the door.

Heero walked back to his room and stood in the doorway, staring
into their room. "Damnit, Relena...you're always f*cking up
everything..." he groaned to himself. He looked around and went
to his side of the bed, as he sat down, he pulled his cell phone
from his pocket. Thanks again Relena, for ruining everything
I've ever cared about. I'm removing you from my life.

Ami went past the hotel, and headed for the corner store. She
bought some duct tape, ammonia, some gloves, and zip ties. Once
in her room, she changed into some black leggings, black combat
boots, and a black turtle neck. She tied her hair back tightly
then tucked the ponytail up into a black ski cap and put the
things she bought in a bag. It was then she snuck out the window
and started for Relena's house.
In the morning, Heero awoke to the smells of breakfast. Ami had
returned before dawn to clean and was now cooking.
