Michelle nodded. "I'll...um...I'll take the kids to my house for
dinner. That okay?" she asked, running her hands through her
hair.

Ami threw on her coat and went outside, getting in her car and
driving to the jail. The whole time she drummed her fingers
against the steering wheel impatiently. When she finally got
there, she got out and walked in briskly.
"I'm here to see my husband, Heero Yuy."

They moved her back into the visitation room. A long row of
chairs sitting in front of two glass partitions, and a phone
hanging on the side of each. "Number 2, he will be out in a few
minutes." She was then left alone. After a few minutes, Heero
came through a large security door. His hands were cuffed behind
his back, and his head hung low. Anyone could tell how ashamed
he was to be here, but for what reason? He had to protect Ami,
at all costs. They walked him to the booth and removed his cuffs
from him. When they walked away, he took a seat and just looked
at Ami. A longing in his eyes, as they teared up and he shook
his head. He ran his hand through his hair and then picked up
the phone.

Ami placed her hand on the glass as she picked up the phone. "Oh
Heero..." she whispered, tears filling her eyes and slipping
down her cheeks.

He looked at her hand on the glass and traced her hand with his
finger. "I'm okay, Aims..." he murmured. "Why are you here
though?" he asked, dropping his hand to the countertop and
looked down. "You and the kids need to get out of here." He
started whispering. "If things go bad with this plan, I need you
gone where they can't find you."

"I can't leave you," she said firmly, closing her eyes and
resting her forehead on the glass. God she felt stupid now...
relieved that the obstacle from their marriage was gone, but she
never expected him to be arrested...

"Ami...I can get us out of this. If you get caught and arrested,
I can't help you!" He scolded firmly. "You need to go to the
colonies or some place else that's safe. You can not stay around
here. When this is all over, I will send word for you that it is
safe."

She sighed irately and pulled away completely from the glass.
"Fine," she snapped, looking away.
