The year is A.C. 198, peace has finally shifted and
allowed for the Gundam Pilots to grow their

the colonies and protecting the people
of earth to settle down. It has been two years since the war
with Mariemaia has ended and
there are a few new changes to their lives.

Re: Cry For The Dream
By: rclemens86 Date: July 21, 2013, 12:46 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
The house was finally cleaned. One chore down and only several
more left. A five year running rampant around the house, a three
year old getting into everything, and a one year old learning
his new sentences, Michelle didn't have much time to do
anything. Now, by 'the house', of course that only meant the
main rooms. Kitchen, living room, and bathroom. God only knew
that there were still two toddler rooms to clean, plus the
disaster Duo liked to call home in their bedroom.
Catrina, a starry eyed beauty with the gorgeous violet blue eyes
of her father and silken brunette hair of both her parents, ran
from her younger toddler brother into the living room. Michelle
had just fallen back on the couch for some rest when the little
hellions came running in.
Duo Jr, the first born son to Duo, ran after his older sister.
He scragly brown hair bouncing about as he ran. He laughed, the
same sweet little laugh his father had. Yeah, you know, the one
he makes right before he presses that trigger. You know the one.
Michelle groaned and closed her eyes, trying her best to tune
everything out. And then came the tiny feet of little Luka.
Yes, even the entire world knew all about this child. His bronze
colored hair, and blue-green eyes. He was a different child.
More mellow than the other two. He waddled up to his mother's
legs at the couch and grabbed a hold of the fabric of her pants.
"Ma!" he screamed, as Catrina and DJ both ran from the room,
screaming after each other once again. Michelle lifted her head.
Her crystal blue eyes smiling down at her youngest son, and the
sweat soaked dark brown locks falling into her face. "Eee" Luka
cried out, and pointed to his high chair in the kitchen.
Michelle held a huge smile on her face and got up. "Good." she
mumbled, picking him up and carrying him to his chair. "Kitty!
DJ, come get in your seats. Lunch time..."
Duo Maxwell, the God of Death reduced to working in a junkyard.
But he loved it. Duo groaned in the heat and wiped the back of
his hand across his forehead, brushing chocolate strands from
his violet eyes. He'd since cut his hair; it was now a smaller
ponytail much like Wufei's. He paused and pulled out his wallet,
opening it to look at his family; he'd married his childhood
sweetheart from during the wars and they made beautiful
children. "My kids..." he murmured a bit sullenly now. He put
his wallet away and dropped his belt down, heading to the
building for lunch. Possibly a beer or two as well.
Another morning spent crying. Amilia Yuy, wife to Heero Yuy and
mother of his children. She'd just finished cleaning the kitchen
and was resting on the couch. Her kids were not quite
rambunctious, but they could be quite a handful. As it were,
they were busy with their own things.
Heero Jr, the oldest at about six, was in his room playing his
video games. He loved these things, even though Ami found them
severely annoying, and true to his name he looked just like his
father with tousled dark brown hair and piercing silver blue
eyes that had a hint of violet from his mother.
Lorelei; even at the tender age of four, was precocious and just
as serious as her father. With long caramel colored tresses like
her mother's cascading into her bright purple-blue eyes, she was
reading silently.
And there was the baby, rosy cheeked Faith. Her hair was short
and dark with little curls and she had hazel colored eyes, the
very same as Ami's grandmother.
The room filled with the quick rapping of fingers on the
keyboard of the control room panel. Heero Yuy, looked back and
forth between the keys and his plans to bring down a new
conglomerate that was trying to bring the worst into the work
place for many innocent people of their country. He typed his
last few words and hit the 'enter' key. He sat back in his chair
and then looked at the clock. "Only two o'clock." he grumbled
and got up from his station. He walked out of the large enclosed
room and down the hall to a break room. Dr. J was sitting there,
eating a huge submarine sandwich. Heero grumbled again and
walked over to the employee phone. He dialed home and decided he
would see how Ami was handling her day.
All three kids were sat down for their lunches. Michelle made
bologna sandwiches for each one of them. She placed them on
paper plates and added some plain chips to the side. She put
them down on the table and all three started to chow down.
Ami sighed and blotted her eyes before getting up to answer the
phone that had just begun to ring. "Hello?" she answered
bleakly, rubbing her temples. Today was a bad day for her; not
alot of sleep combined with three kids and cleaning was not
making her headache easier.
Duo strode in and grabbed his lunch from the fridge that
Michelle had made for him; it contained several of his
favorites. However instead of grabbing he beer, he paused and
thought for a moment before taking a soda instead. He then sat
down and began to eat.
"Ami." Heero spoke. He heard the awkwardness of her voice and
sighed. "Stop crying...it can't be that bad. Take the kids and
go visit Michelle for a while." He ran his fingers through his
hair and leaned against the counter that lined the room where
everyone ate their lunch.
Michelle threw herself back down on the couch and turned on the
T.V. She sat and watched the afternoon news and then turned it
to her soap operas. When the kids had finished, they let
themselves up, threw away their plates and trash, and then all
went back to their rooms.
"Heero, it IS that bad...I just got the kids to settle down,
Faith is cutting more teeth so she's even crankier than normal.
I got maybe three hours of sleep last night and the house needs
cleaning, and now I have a migraine..." Ami muttered a bit
bitterly. "I still have alot to do so I can't go see Michelle."
She paused for a moment and then sighed. "I-i'm sorry. I'm just
having a bad day..."
Duo finished his food and smacked his lips, downing the last of
his soda. He pulled out his cell phone and hit speed dial 1,
waiting as the phone rang in his ear. Soon, someone at home
would pick up.
Heero sighed and ran his fingers through his thick moss brown
hair. "Look Ami, I'll be home in about two hours. Try to keep it
under wraps until then and I will take them off your hands when
I get there..." His tone was the same subtle voice he'd always
had. Almost no emotion whatsoever. But having been with Ami for
over six years now, he knew she understood the way he spoke.
Michelle jumped out of a dead sleep as the phone rang. She
wasn't quite awake enough to have realized it was the phone.
"Hello?" a small voice answered. The only other female voice in
the house. "Maxwell House!" Michelle sat up and turned as
Catrina was walking in with the phone to her ear. Her face lit
up bright to hear the next thing she heard.
His toneless voice, as uncaring as it may have sounded, calmed
Ami down. A little smile curled her lips. "All right...I love
you," she said softly, knowing he probably wouldn't say it back.
"Hey there Citty Cat! How's daddy's big girl?" Duo grinned. He
walked outside and fished in his pocket for his pack of
cigarettes.
Heero looked at Doctor J, sitting there eating his lunch. He
slight curl came to the corner of one side of his mouth. "I'll
see you in a while." he spoke and hung up the phone quietly.
"Hi daddy!!" Catrina squealed. Michelle looked at her daughter
and smiled. "I'm doing good. Mommy just fed us lunch a little
bit ago, and me and DJ are thinking about going to the backyard
to play tag!" Her sweet little voice was all the world ever
needed to stay calm. Michelle sat up from the couch and pulled
Catrina into her lap, listening between the conversation.
Ami smiled slighty as he hung up, feeling a tiny bit better.
With a deep sigh she rubbed her temples, then stood and went to
take care of the rest of the housework.
"Well that sounds fun sweetie, make sure you guys don't play too
rough, kay?" he chuckled as he lit up, taking a deep drag. "Can
I talk to mommy?"
Catrina grinned and nodded. "Alright daddy. I love you!" Her
face lit up so bright, her father, being just like her idol. She
didn't wait for her father to reply, rather she handed the phone
straight over to her mother. "Here you go, mommy!" she cheered
and ran off after Michelle grabbed the phone from her.
"Hello sweety." Michelle spoke, in her suck-up tone. She always
greeted him this way, it was just a way that she answered to
him. Of course, she'd done him wrong in a few ways during their
terrible past, and it was the only way she really knew to always
prove to him she still loved him.
Heero sighed walking back to his post. He hated his job, to a
point. He hated the idea of doing nothing but sitting around
plotting. Time never flew by fast enough when he wanted to
leave. And too fast when he just wanted to be alone.
"Hey Micki..." he replied softly, flicking his cigarette.
Ami continued to clean.

---------------------------------------------------------
"How's work?" she asked, getting up from her seat and walking
over to the sliding glass doors. She opened them and stepped
outside onto the patio. She sat down in one of the lawn chairs
and leaned back with a deep sigh.
Heero growled. "Forget this shit..." He slammed back the
keyboard and started heading out. He walked passed Doctor J on
his way out, who said nothing and let him leave. His car was at
the furthest end of the parking structure today, thanks to some
no good punks who live across from the establishment. He
grumbled all the way back to his car and once he got in, he
stopped. He stared out the empty windshield and fiddled with his
keys in his hand.
"Long, hot, and boring..." he chuckled, smoke rolling out from
his mouth. "How're the kids?" He fiddled with his lighter as the
cigarette dangled from his lower lip.
As the older kids kept to themselves, Ami went to go check on
Faith. The 6-month-old was sound asleep in her crib, clutching
the bear her father had given her.
Michelle sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. "They're
doing okay...playing most of the afternoon." She looked up to
the sky and smiled, thinking about everything in her life.
Heero finally sat back and put the keys in the ignition. He
didn't move just yet though, as Ami's face came into his mind. A
tiny smirk came across his face and a few moments later, he
pulled out of the parking space and drove towards home.
"That sounds fun..." he mused, looking up at the sky as well. He
thought of everything he'd dealt with through the last few years
of his life, and it made his heart heavy in a way.
Ami smiled and moved the dark hair from the infant's face,
pulling her blanket over her. She then headed back downstairs
after checking on Heero Jr. and Lorelei.
"Yeah." she nodded and yawned. "When are you going to be home
today?" she asked, wondering if Hilde had showed in to work
today. She despised that woman whole heartedly. The thought of
her made her skin crawl.
Heero drove down the streets and watched the scenery. His whole
life had been about taking back the peace that belonged to the
people of earth. Now his whole life was dependent upon his
family, and their safety. He turned his back on the world the
day the pilots put their gundams to rest. He missed Wing Zero.
Like a drug, he was able to fulfill his destiny, his inner self
was released like a wild hound. He was bent on the destruction
of evil. His mind went blank for a moment, and he came out of it
rather quickly when the passenger side tire hit the curb. It
sent the car flying up over the curb and landing in a dead halt,
both front tires flat. Heero hadn't a scratch on him when he got
out of the car and looked at the damage. He swore loudly and his
hand came down on the hood of the car.
"I'll be home 'round five. Not alot to do today, not since..."
His voice trailed off, though they both knew what he was going
to say. "Not since the last of the mobile suits were destroyed."
The war, and the Gundams themselves, were a painful subject to
both Duo and Michelle.
"My sweet little Faith..." Ami murmured, tucking a stray strand
of hair behind her ear. She sighed lightly and turned, walking
out. She thought for a moment and then grinned slightly, heading
for the kitchen. She grabbed the phone and hit 3, Send. She
listened as the phone rang on the other end and then a cheerful
voice answered. "Hi Quatre!" she replied. "Listen, I need a
favor..."
"Hi Ami!" Quatre's voice chimed. "What do you need?" he spoke,
just having answered his phone after stepping from the shower.
Heero attempted to try to change one tire, and managed, but
there was still the deal of the other tire. He called Ami, she
would have to drive her car down here with her spare tire. He
didn't want to call, he wanted to surprise her by being home
early. He sighed and dialed her number. It beeped through on her
line.
Michelle bowed her head. She remember the war alright. It was a
hard thing to forget. But after it was all done, she couldn't
believe that she got to be one of the lucky women who got to be
with the heroes of earth. 'My God of Death.' she always told
herself. "Well, come straight home okay? I have plans for dinner
tonight."
"Will you watch the kids for me tonight?" Ami pleaded cutely. It
was then her other line beeped. "Oh---hold on. Hello?
"Like I'd go anywhere else, babe. Gotta head back in though.
I'll see you tonight. Love ya!"
"Ami...I need to you come...rescue me..." he spoke the words as
though he hated the idea. "I'm about six blocks west of work..."
Quatre sighed, thinking on her question while she answered the
other line. He thought about his plans and then shrugged. He
really had nothing better to do. The orphanage was out on a
camping trip this week, so he didn't need to be there today.
"Love you too, Duo." she smiled, and hung up. She looked up to
the clouds and groaned. She looked at her phone and then dialed
a number. She hit the talk button and listened to it ring.
'Trowa...' she thought.
"Rescue you? Heero what happened?" she asked with a frown. She
paused. "Nevermind, be there shortly." She quickly switched back
over and sighed lightly, "Quatre could you come now? I have to
go pick up Heero..."
Duo went back to work happily, humming as he rummaged through
the junk. Things had been looking up with him and Michelle since
Luka's birth, uncircumstane as it were. Or at least, he thought
so.
"Hello." Trowa answered in his quiet, monotone voice. He was on
his cell, in his office.
Heero hung up and sat inside his car. He ignored anyone who
drove by asking to help and waiting until Ami got there. He
growled to himself as he dropped his head on the head rest of
the seat.
Quatre smiled. "Sure Aims, I'll be there as soon as I can." He
put on his shoes and quickly headed to the Yuy home.
"Hi Trowa..." Michelle spoke softly. "I'm not interrupting
anything, am I?"
Ami tapped her feet and popped open a Cherry Coke as she awaited
her flamboyant friend; though truth be told, he was very serious
and troubled on the inside. And only she could tell; aside from
Michelle, he was also her best friend.
Trowa closed his eyes as he leaned against the back of his
chair. "Not all Michelle..." he murmured. "I'm at work, but I've
completed my assignments."
Duo wiped sweat from his brow as he loaded some rusty parts onto
a trailer for a customer.
Michelle smiled and twirled her hair in between her fingers. "I
wanted to see if you wanted to see Luka this weekend." She cut
straight to her point, speaking anything else with him only hurt
her at this stage.
Heero closed his eyes and fell into a semi-sleep
Quatre got there as quickly as he could. He raced up the stairs
and knocked on the door. His vibrant blonde hair shown like
satin the sunlight. His crystal blue eyes sparkled and his
perfectly flawless skin bounced off the sun beams.
Trowa glanced down at his iPod Touch and checked his schedule.
"Nn. That'll be all right, I'm free." he said. It almost sounded
like he was disinterested, but Michelle knew better.
Ami flung the door open, "Oh thank God you're here!" she
squealed. "Faith is asleep and H.J. and Lorelei are in their
rooms. There's money for food on the kitchen counter and the
emergency numbers too. Thank you so much!" She hugged him
tightly.
Quatre laughed and hugged her back. "Where's the fire?" he
asked, chuckling. He released her and stepped inside.
Michelle giggled. "Alright, so then do you just want to come
here or meet somewhere friday?"

She explained to Quatre and then hugged him again, kissing his
cheek softly. "Thank you again, so much." She smiled at him and
left.
"Actually I was thinking I could take Luka somewhere. Just the
two of us." He didn't add, if it's okay with you, knowing she'd
at least get that.
Michelle stopped mid speech and then sighed. "Yeah...that's
fine." she replied, and dropped her head back against the chair.
"So you will pick him up then?"
Quatre nodded and went to go check on the kids.
Heero opened his eyes and stepped out of the car. Traffic was
slowing down in the area, he looked at his watch and then down
the road, hoping to see Ami coming soon.
"Yeah, unless you want to drop him off..." Trowa's voice trailed
off and he paused. He still had feelings for Michelle, he loved
her, but he was falling out of love with her. Time apart had
weakened their romance, plus she was married to Duo; a fellow
Gundam pilot of his. And then there was Quatre...
Ami got in her car and drove out to where Heero was. She flipped
her hazards on and parked, getting out. With a little smile, she
walked over to the driver side and looked up at her husband.
"Should I call a tow truck?" she asked lightly.
Michelle sighed. She felt her time with Trowa was slowly
dissipating. Tears gently started in her eyes, feeling their
distance. "I still love you Trowa..." she blurted, rather than
answering his statement. "I hope you still feel that same..."
She was hopeful for his answer. But she knew in some way she
couldn't rekindle that flame with him. She'd finally gotten over
the battle hump with Duo. She needed to keep that fire going,
rather than trying to take over the forest in flames.
Heero looked down at his wife when she arrived. His arms were
folded over his chest and he sighed. "No...I just need the spare
out of your car..." he groaned and walked over. He popped her
trunk latch and lifted the spare from it's place. Over the
years, Heero had grown wiser about things, and he'd learned that
having some physical fighting skill would help him out in the
long run as well. It was about a year after the Gundams that
Heero started training. He added about six inches to his entire
frame. His chest was more broadened, his arms nearly bulging in
muscle mass. His childly abs before had grown into steel plated
six packs. He was proud of what he'd done. And a piece of him
thought he would always be able to keep Ami if he bettered
himself this way. Although he knew he didn't have to.
Trowa fell silent. There was part of him that screamed for him
to return her love, but he wouldn't. He couldn't bring himself
to destroy the very thing that Duo was living for. A little sigh
escaped him. "Michelle...you can't do this..." he murmured.
"Heero..." Ami watched him as he got the spare out and began to
change it. "How about we go somewhere tonight?" she asked
hopefully.
Michelle's eyes boiled over in tears. She pulled the receiver
back from her mouth and turned her head, covering her mouth in
her hand. After a second, she spoke in a teary voice. "I-I have
to go..." Her voice wobbled and she quickly hung up the phone
before he had a chance to respond.
Heero looked up at Ami, he was struggling with the four way as
he loosened the lugnuts. "Like where?" he asked, his voice low
and quiet. "Who's got the kids?"
Trowa snapped his phone shut with unnecessary force and dropped
it to his desk. He then leaned forward and dropped his head into
palm. "Damnit.."
Ami kneeled down, "I don't know...dinner...maybe a movie.
Quatre's watching the kids." she replied quietly.
"Mommy?!" Catrina called as she opened the sliding glass door.
Michelle looked over at her daughter and smiled, hiding her
tears. "Can me and DJ come play outside? I promise we'll stay
behind the fence." Michelle nodded and stood.
"Be careful okay? Mommy's going to go inside for a little bit.
You stay in the yard." Catrina nodded and she DJ raced out into
the back yard. Michelle went inside and sat, starting blankly at
the TV.
Heero shrugged, and continued with the tire. "Yeah...sure." he
spoke, his unenthusiastic voice showing through.
Trowa sighed weakly and picked his cell up, fiddling with it for
a moment before opening a new text. His fingers flew over the
buttons as he typed; he stared at the screen for a moment before
hitting send. A few minutes later, Michelle's cell phone
buzzed...
Ami slowly felt her excitement about enjoying an evening with
Heero alone fading. She paused and brushed hair from her eyes,
standing back up. "Do you want to go out?" she asked.
Michelle opened her phone upon the vibration alert. She looked
to see '1 New Text Message'. She clicked 'OK' to open it and
started to read a message from Trowa.
Heero finished pulling the tire from the car and stood. He
turned and looked at the expression on Ami's face and sighed.
"Yes, I do. It would be a good change." He patted her shoulder
and reached for the other spare, then began placing it. "You
ought to know me better than that by now, Ami."
'Micki u know u shouldnt say things like tht ne more. its not
fair 2 him or me. u were the one who chose 2 stay with him when
i asked u 2 come with me'
Trowa silently swayed back and forth in his chair, waiting for a
reply back.
Ami tilted her head as he patted her shoulder then a sudden
light came to her eyes. She looked at her car and hit the lock
button; the security alarm beeped twice. She then watched Heero
finish changing the tires.
'ur the one who started the whole thing trowa. i just thought
that maybe u would at least...nvm 4get it'
She stared at her phone and sent the message. She glared and put
her phone down and then walked back outside with Catrina and DJ.
Heero finished the tire after a few more minutes and stood up,
wiping himself off and turning to Ami. "Thanks." he spoke,
kissing her softly and then going to get into his car.
Trowa looked at his phone and glared; rarely did this man ever
show his emotions, less often so than Heero Yuy himself. He
flipped it open and called Michelle's phone. He let it ring and
ring until finally her voicemail picked up. "Look..." he growled
in that irresistibly sexy voice of his, "I started it...and I
asked you to finish with me seeing as how you were carrying MY
child...But since you decided to stay with that braided jerk of
yours, you have no business telling me you still love me. You
made your bed, now lie in it Michelle." He slammed his phone
shut, trying to ignore the aching throb in his chest.
Ami smiled suddenly and shut the door, grabbing his set of keys
and locking it, before he could get in.
The kids ran playfully through the yard, chasing one another.
They did this for quite awhile.
Heero paused and looked at the door, then back at her. "What are
you doing?" he asked, noting their cars were still on the side
of the road.
Ami smiled wickedly and put the keys in her pocket. She stepped
up onto the curb, taking a few steps back. "Catch me if you
can." she smiled.

He grinned and took a step towards her. "Come one Ami...do you
really wanna leave Quatre there all by himself for long?"
Her eyes sparkled slightly, "Like I said...catch me..." And with
that spoken, she turned on her heel and ran as fast as she
could, weaving in and out of trees.
Heero's grin widened, a grin that only Ami would ever see on his
face. Not even Relena stood a chance at seeing this look. But he
walked after her, he knew at some point she would lose her way
through the trees and she'd probably coming crashing right into
him, or at least crossing his path.
Eventually, Ami slowed down and smiled, pausing behind a tree.
She peeked around at Heero.
He continued stalking after her, the same ridiculous grin on his
face. He stopped when she stopped behind a tree, and pretended
her couldn't find her.
She clapped a hand over her mouth to muffle a giggle as she
tiptoed around, trying to get him from behind.
When he knew he was out of her sight from behind a tree, he
jumped and grabbed a tree branch. Quickly, he crawled through
the tree limbs and kept himself out of her sight. He watched her
though, being ready to nab her when he could.
Ami frowned as she lost sight of Heero, and looked around,
trying to be quiet. She couldn't seem to find her husband, which
may or may not be a good thing,
She came right underneath of him and his grin brightened. He
dropped down so quietly, he himself couldn't even hear himself
land. He put out his hands, ready to grab her and leaned over,
whispering in her ear. "Ami...I caught you..." If she were to
move, he'd easily grab her and stop her from running.
Ami squealed and jumped, darting forward to try and attempt an
escape.
He quickly wrapped his large arms around her and held her
tightly. "I knew you'd try something like that." he told her,
spinning her around in his arms and pressing her against his
muscularly define chest. Of course, he had a shirt on.
Ami tossed her head back and laughed as he spun her around, and
then shifted so she faced him.
Duo sighed happily as he punched out and grabbed his bag. "Time
to go home.."
He met her eyes and smiled softly, then moved in and pressed his
lips to hers. "So what's this about catching you?"
Michelle had gotten a book to read while the kids played in the
yard. She had gone in at one point, and Luka was asleep on the
bedroom floor. She put him in bed and came back out.
"You get a reward now..." she murmured against his lips, sliding
her arms around his neck tightly and kissing him passionately.
It was a bit unlike her to show a display of affection like
this.
Duo hummed as he got into his car and pulled the keys out,
starting it. He pulled out onto the road and headed for home.
Heero tilted his head and pulled her even more tightly to him.
He let out a slight groan.
Catrina and DJ were playing tag now, but rather than touching
them, they were poking them with sticks.
Quatre sat quietly at the Yuy house, and pulled out his phone.
He opened a new text message and typed: 'Good evening, Trowa.
How are you?' He yawned and pressed the send key and sat back.

Ami threaded her fingers in his hair and pulled at his dark
locks slightly, deepening the kiss further as she leaned back
against a tree.
Duo stopped at a gas station to get him and Michelle a pop, and
spotted some roses. A slight smile curled his mouth as he
grabbed a bouquet.
When Quatre's phone signaled it had a new text, the poor Arabian
man had no idea what he was in for: I'm pissed. As always
Michelle called to make sure I was going to see Luka; I
suggested that maybe me and the boy do some father-son
bonding...and then she starts spouting off how she still loves
me...I told her she can't do that! Its not fair to her husband
nor to me; yes, I instigated our affair but she continued it and
when I asked her to make a choice, she chose him. So she has no
right to tell me she loves me.
Heero pinned her to the tree, his hands caressing her sides and
deepening the kiss as he pushed his body against hers.
Catrina ended up throwing her stick at DJ, hitting him in the
head. He fell to the ground and started bawling. Michelle
groaned and stood up. "Now why would you do that, Catrina?!" she
demanded. She sighed heavily. "Alright, go inside..." She picked
DJ up off the ground and carried him inside. Inspecting his
head, she found nothing and turned him to look at her. "You're
kind, kiddo." she spoke. "Now why don't you go play in your
room. Daddy should be home pretty soon."
Quatre looked at the returned message, dumbfounded. He thought
for a few moments and then sighed and text him back. 'Look
Trowa, sometimes things aren't fair, but I know you better than
anyone. There's no denying, you still love her. But you're
right, she shouldn't be unfair to Duo. He's our friend, maybe we
should talk to him...' He knew the second he hit the send
button, it was a mistake to say those words. Trowa would never
agree to talking to Duo about the situation he'd had with
Michelle. Ever since it happened, and Duo found out, he and
Trowa had not talked much. Only if they had to. Quatre knew
this, but he hated to see his former comrades fighting like
this.
Ami moaned into his mouth and arched her body against his...
Duo paid for his items and then got back into his car, driving
the rest of the way home. As he parked, he got out and grinned.
He headed for the front door and opened it, peeking inside. "I'm
home!" he called out.
Trowa read the message and scowled. 'How about YOU talk to Heero
about how YOU feel about HIS wife?'
Heero growled a bit and pulled away. He looked at her for a
moment and forgot all he was thinking about before he pulled
back. He then went back in and kissed her more intensely.
Michelle looked up at the front door and smiled. "Oh thank
god..." she whispered, relieved. "How was work?" she asked,
walking towards him.
Quatre snarled. 'Ami has nothing to do with this Trowa. And I
never crossed the line and had a child with my best friend's
wife. You, on the other hand...'
~Time skip of the Sex kind~
He smiled and put the bag with the pops in it down, pulling her
into him as he kissed her tenderly. "Work was work, I'm glad to
be home," he said, holding out her bouquet.
'I told the woman I fell in love with that I loved her; you, you
will never even know if Ami has the slightest feelings towards
you or not because you're too chicken shit to tell her.' The
text was harshly and slightly truthful.
He released Ami from his hold on her against the tree, and
sighed heavily. He kissed her neck softly and then her cheek,
then met her lips. He stared into her eyes for a moment and then
smiled slightly. "I love you..." he whispered and kissed her
softly once more. These were the only moments, other than when
his children were born, that he'd actually say he loved her. But
it was these moments, that he knew would always make her know
that he would always love her.
Michelle smiled, bright. "You brought me flowers..." she grinned
and kissed him. "What made you do this?" Her voice was melodic
as she asked, and hugged him. She then retreated to the kitchen
to prepare them for being placed in a vase.
Quatre's body shook slightly, angrily. "I'll show you...Trowa."
he spoke, out loud. 'When you see me next, I will have a great
weight lifted from my shoulders.' This was all he said, and sent
the message, staring blankly at his phone, wondering what was
going to happen next.
"And I love you, Heero..." she replied softly, beginning to fix
their clothing. She brushed her hand through his hair and sighed
lightly; lately they were beginning to drift, and she was sure
he noticed it too.
Duo shrugged as he followed her, watching her curves and then
leaned against the counter. "Just felt like it. I saw them at
the gas station and just had to get them," he chuckled.
Trowa growled and turned his phone off. "Whatever..."
Heero stretched when he was ready and took Ami back to their
cars. "I'll see you back home." he spoke, having snatched his
keys from her during their...moment. He unlocked the car and got
inside. Once inside, he decided he would make a pit stop before
heading home.
She smiled. "Well thank you, Duo. They are beautiful." She put
them in the vase and walked over, hugging Duo tightly.
Quatre tapped his foot on the floor, hoping Ami would be back
soon. He had to do as he said he would before he wimped out like
Trowa said he would.
Before Ami could reply, he was gone. She sighed heavily and
reached in her pocket, fumbling for her keys as she walked to
her car. She got in, started it, and headed for home.
"You're welcome, Micks," he nuzzled her neck and kissed it once
as he held her tight.
Heero drove across town just to get to his destination. He
pulled up in front of a large glitzy building and parked the
car. He sounded the alarm, and walked inside. There was a podium
where he waited to be greeted.
She smiled and wrapped her arms around him. "You know what your
daughter did just before you got home?"
Ami fiddled with the radio and left it as she heard "Bleeding
Love" start on the satellite radio. She drove home singing along
loudly, turning the volume up as loud as it could go.
"What did my kitten do now?" he rose an eyebrow.
A man greeted him, but asked him if he could wait a few more
minutes. Heero groaned and went to sit down and wait to be
greeted again.
Michelle sighed, and walked to the couch, rubbing her temples.
"She threw a heavy stick at DJ's head..."
Ami pulled into her driveway and parked, cutting the engine. She
there silently for a few moments in the driver seat before
grabbing her purse and starting inside.
"Ouch, is he okay?" Duo winced sympathetically, following her
and pulling her down to lean against him.
Heero sighed, the man came back and helped a few more people
around him and then walked off again. He groaned loudly and
dropped his head back.
Michelle nodded and leaned against him quietly. She wrapped her
arms around his to waist and closed her eyes. "She's reminding
me of her father every day..."
Quatre heard Ami pull in and sat, waiting for her to come
inside. He swallowed hard and shook his leg.
Duo kissed her hair and held her close. "You seem tired baby..."
he murmured.
Ami walked in and shut the door, kicking her shoes off and
dropping her keys in the basket with a heavy sigh. "Quatre?" she
called out.

She nodded, now halfway asleep. "Luka is the only one that has
taken a nap today." She ran her fingers through her hair and
yawned.
Quatre jumped up quickly and walked to Ami. "Good, I need to
talk to you about something."
Duo leaned back, letting her lay on his chest and rubbed her
back. "That's good for him at least."
"You do? Um, okay.." she blinked, a little surprised.
Heero finally stood as the man came back to the podium. "I need
to make a reservation for tonight." The man nodded and put them
down for their dinner party to arrive at seven. Heero nodded, no
emotion on his face, and slapped a one hundred dollar bill on
the podium. He then walked out and headed for his car.
Quatre sighed heavily, and then straightened himself up. He
looked her square in the eyes and spoke. "I'm in love with you
Ami..." he blurted, his gaze turning away as soon as the words
escaped.
Ami's eyes widened as Quatre confessed himself to her and then
turned away. "You...me?...h-how?" she stammered, light-headed.
He pulled her by her shoulders, to look at him again. "Ami,
I...I know it's terrible placement, and you're Heero's, but I
needed you to know. I've simply been your friend since we met,
and I can't lie to my heart anymore. I love you,
and...I...well..." He looked into her eyes again, and then
pressed his lips to hers.
"O-Oh--" Ami's eyes widened as Quatre kissed her suddenly, and
she felt her knees go weak.
Quatre wrapped his arms around her. He could tell she was
reacting a bit differently than he thought. He pulled back and
helped her keep her balance on her feet. "I...I'm sorry. This
was my fault. If I hadn't started feeling this way..."
Heero got to his car and buckled in. He pulled out and headed
home.
Now was so not the time for Ami to remember her crush on Quatre;
but she did, and it all came back to her. "Q-Quatre...I...I'm
married--" her voice trailed off and she shook her head,
breaking away as she tried to banish the thoughts she was
beginning to have.
Quatre too, pulled away. "I guess that I should go then..." He
reached out and brushed her cheek with the back of his first
finger. "I hope my stupidity doesn't ruin out friendship..." He
blinked and turned toward the door.
A sudden ache started in her chest and she bit her lip,
hesitating as she took a step towards him then slid back into
her place.
He hung his head after he walked out the door. Silently, he
walked to his car and got inside. He stared out the windshield
for a few moments, then saw a car coming up behind him. It was
Heero's car, so instead of sticking around dwelling any longer,
he started it up and headed home.
Heero pulled into the driveway and sighed as he got out of the
car. He watched as Quatre left and then headed inside. "Dinner
at seven." he announce quietly as he walked through the door. He
tossed his keys down and went to get changed.
Ami sighed heavily and she too went to go change.
By now both Duo and Michelle were dozing off on the couch.
Heero had just stripped himself of his clothing when Ami walked
in. He stood in a pair of blue and green plaid striped boxers.
he turned and found Ami walking in. He'd just removed his shirt,
and this showed by his moss brown being tussled about on his
head. He looked at her with his gorgeous prussian blue eyes and
a tiny smirk curled the corners of his lips.
Michelle started whimpering as she slept. A loud gasp and then
she darted up from her sleep. "Trowa..." she whispered hoarsely.
Her voice was barely heard as she looked around and found Duo
laying back on the couch next to her. Tears started in her eyes
and she turned, wrapping her arms around him and burying her
face against his chest.
Ami blushed slightly at the sight of him and then walked over,
running her hands up his chest and looping her arms around his
neck. She tilted her face up and kissed him lovingly; she was
being extremely affectionate today, something odd considering
how non-physical their relationship typically was.
Duo stirred, but he did not wake; rather in his sleep, he held
her snugly and a little smile spread across his lips.
"Michelle..." he murmured.
Heero leaned down and kissed her gently. "When we get home...we
need to get ready though. Dinner is in one hour." He kissed her
again and then released her, pulling out a nice shirt and black
slacks.
Michelle peeked up at him, and smiled slightly. She ran her
hands along his cheeks and touched her cool finger to his lips.
"I love you..." she whispered.

Ami smiled and nodded lightly, going to her side of the closet.
She wriggled out of her jeans and top, reaching for a slip that
she stepped into. She then thumbed through her dresses until she
pulled out a little black one.
Duo's eyes slowly opened and he gave her a sleepy smile. "And I
love you.."
She smiled, and reached up, pressing their lips together. Her
knee stretched over his as she began to straddle him, bringing
her fingers to his ear and gently rubbing his lobe. She found
out it was his weak spot about two weeks after they started
dating, way back when, and has always used it since to get her
way with things. Including the bedroom kind.
Heero walked out after dressing and went to go put his shoes on.
When he'd done that, he sat on the couch and called Quatre back
up. After a little bit of time, Quatre had agreed that he would
come back over and watch the kids. Heero offered him some money
in the ordeal as well.
Duo groaned softly and pressed him hips into hers; she was
definitely beginning to get his attention.
Ami slid into the dress then went to the bathroom to apply
makeup and accessories.
Michelle purred against his lips and moved both of her hands
into his hair. Her fingers combed through and she gently began
to pull on his hair. She hated that he'd cut it as he did. It
was still hard to get over, even today.
Heero sat back and turned on the tv, flipping through channels
while he waited for Ami and Quatre.
Duo growled and lifted up his wife, heading for the bedroom.
Citty could take care of herself and the boys for an hour...he
hoped.
Ami walked downstairs, ready for an evening out with her
husband; something she rarely got to enjoy.
Quatre walked in the door as Ami walked downstairs. He paused
briefly, Heero having turned to see her as well. Quatre blushed,
and quickly turned his gaze toward Heero. "Have fun you two." He
murmured, and sat down in the furthest spot from Heero. Heero
got up at that point, noticing nothing and walking over to the
door. He grabbed his keys and opened the door for Ami.
-time skip-
Michelle laid halfway off the bed, head first. "Kami..." she
gasped, sweat beading on her body.
"Thank you for this Quatre..." Ami murmured; an underlying note
of emotion in her voice. Heero didn't notice of course, only
Quatre would. She tucked hair away and moved, following her
husband outside.
Duo grinned, he was laying on top of her, still within in her
folds as he caught his breath. He kissed her chest, "I love
you," he said lazily.
Quatre looked at her for a moment and then went down to a book
he'd brought and started reading.
Michelle attempted to life her body up and grinned, pleased. "I
love you too..." she smiled.
Duo laughed and slid off of her, standing in all his naked
sweaty glory as he pulled a robe on.
Ami got in the car and buckled up.
She stared at him, upside down and purred at him.
Heero got in and pulled out. He headed straight to the
restaurant he'd just make arrangements at. He let valet take his
car to park it and he escorted Ami inside. The waiter came to
them and took them to their table. He pulled the chair out for
Ami and Heero sat across from her. A beautiful center placement
of a tiny vase with a small red rose was placed. Another waiter
brought over two glass of water in champagne glasses. He handed
them their menus and smiled. "I'll be back in a few minutes to
take your order. Please look it over carefully and enjoy your
evening."
Duo snickered, hearing her, and headed for the shower. "Coming?"
Ami held her menu and looked at Heero softly. "This is amazing
Heero..."
She grinned and jumped out of bed quickly and followed him.
Heero looked up at her, his normal unemotional smirk and went
back to his menu deciding on a teriyaki chicken and fried rice,
with a side of crab cakes. His drink would be a simple glass of
red wine. "I'm sorry I haven't done this more often..." he
murmured behind the menu.
~Oodles of slippery fun and bubbles!!~
Ami sighed gently. "It's all right Heero. Really." She gave him
a smile.
Once their shower was finally done, Michelle got out, and pulled
her robe on around her. She kissed him gently and headed
downstairs. Catrina and DJ had both, on their own, went and laid
down in their beds for naps, Luka was still asleep but she knew
it wouldn't be long before he awoke. It was dinner time, so she
decided to get dinner started.
The waiter came back and began taking their orders. Heero
allowed Ami to order her meal first, and continued to thumb
through the desserts.
Duo got dressed and then went to go take care of some things
Michelle had wanted done. Mostly just fix-it things around the
house.
Ami smiled and ordered shrimp and chicken fettucini alfredo with
a side of garlic bread and a caesar salad.

Michelle sat down at the table while she cooked up some meat and
started on a tuna casserole in the over.
Heero then ordered his meal and the waiter stepped away. He then
looked over at Ami and reached out for her hand. "I want you to
always be happy, no matter what happens Ami." he spoke softly,
and met her eyes with his usual look.
Ami looked at him slightly confused then held his hand tight,
smiling. "You make me happy Heero...always."
"#$%!!! ^#%$ ^#@* %&^$ SUCKER!!!!" The string of expletives from
the garage rang through the entire house.
He bowed his head at the table and sighed, looking back up at
her. "I will always love you."
Michelle jumped quickly from her chair and rushed out to the
garage. "Duo?!" she exclaimed, frightened by his yelling. "Is
everything okay?"
She was starting to worry now. Biting her lip, Ami brushed hair
out of her face, using her free hand. "I love you too..." she
echoed.
"NO!" he groaned in pain. He was clutching his tricep tightly;
his forearm and bicep were laying on the floor, twitching
slightly and there was blood everywhere. The saw was roaring,
spattered with his crimson.
He pulled his hand away and sat back. "Have you spoken with your
brother lately?" He looked around the place and watched the
other happy couples having an evening out.
Michelle found what was going on, and immediately turned and ran
to the kitchen, throwing up. She wiped her mouth and looked
around for a thick towel. She threw it at him without looking in
and went and dialed emergency.
"Yesterday..." she mumbled quietly, grabbing her glass of wine
and downing it as he looked away.
Duo clenched his teeth and pressed the towel to his stub, it
hurt but he had to get the bleeding slowed. So he whipped off
his belt and made a tourniquet out of it.
Heero nodded and soon the waiter came to their table with their
food. He took up his glass of red wine and started to drink it
down. Then he started eating. He'd big news, disturbing in the
least, but he wanted to wait til she had eaten to tell her. "Dr.
J has a big couple of weeks planned for me, I hear." he started
trying to make it simple first.
It wasn't very long and emergency came through the door. A
couple grabbed his loose limb and managed to put it on ice.
Another took Duo and walked him back to their ambulance.
Michelle, being far too grossed out, quickly called her brother
and opted to stay behind at home until Wufei had gotten there.
She needed him to watch the kids, although, she fretted it too.
Once he would arrive she would be not too far behind to the
hospital to be with Duo. After she hung up, the images came back
again and she had to throw up once more.
"Oh?" she said lightly, focusing on her food as she started to
eat. She didn't like his odd attitude.
The ER medics took Duo in quickly and started emergency
treatment in the back of the ambulance.
He nodded and slowly ate his food. "Yeah, he's had a lot of
plans for me to go over and such. I left today though while I
was in the middle of looking one set over. I thought I should
come home and spend some time with you."
Michelle tapped her foot waiting on her brother. After about ten
minutes, she showed up through the door. "Thank god!" she
hollered and stormed out without saying a word. She got in her
car and raced to the hospital, once there, she got out and went
in search of where he would be. No doubt, he would never be the
same. She couldn't believe he could be so careless.
"Well I'm glad you did," she smiled, taking a drink of her water
before taking another bite. "And I'm sure with all that work
Dr.J has, you'll still be able to be home quite a bit."
A doctor greeted her right away, "Mrs. Maxwell, hi, I'm your
husband's surgeon..."
Heero sighed heavily and dropped his utensils. "Yeah...actually
J found some work for me..." he murmured, never making eye
contact with his wife. "A pretty big assignment..."
Michelle rushed to the doctor in panic mode. "Is my husband
alright?" she asked, one hand clutching the car keys, the other
clutching her other hand. "He's...going to lose his arm
though...isn't he?"
"That's good though right? It means you have alot of
responsibility. What are you going to be doing?" she asked, less
worried than before. Oh, was she in for a surprise...
"Ma'am your husband will be all right. We're giving him blood
transfusions now, and are working on reattaching his arm. The
limb was fresh enough that we could do so!" he spoke cheerfully.
Heero went back to his food, only staring at it rather than
eating it. "I've got an assignment that takes me to the
colonies...for a few weeks. It's a pretty dangerous one...I'm
supposed to be finding a band of men who have been destroying
high end buildings in the name of Tsubarov. They also claim to
be led by the Kushranada faction that started a few years back."
He sighed, having let it out, quietly, and started to eat again.
Lucky for Michelle, there was a garbage bin nearby. Yet again,
she threw up inside of it, this time gagging a bit as well.
Tears were soaking her eyes and streaming down her cheeks. All
of this was like something out of a terrible horror film or
something.
Ami let his words sink in as she slowly lowered her fork and
knife to the table. "A few weeks?...dangerous..." she murmured,
then felt anger and hurt rising up like bile. "And you
accepted?"
"Oh my goodness, are you all right Mrs.Maxwell??" the doctor
asked, concerned.
Heero sighed. "I had to Ami. I haven't had work like this in
months. We have kids to take care of, and a house to keep." His
eyebrows turned down. "You know I always come back..."
Michelle caught her breath and stood back up straight. A nurse
came over with a tissue and Michelle took it, wiping her mouth.
"I-I'm sorry...th-there was just so much blood. It's still
affecting me. P-please...when can I see him?"

Yeah, but then you're never home. The words rang bitterly in her
mind, but never left her lips. She said nothing and looked down
at her food, suddenly not hungry any longer.
"As soon as he's in recovery, about another hour or so...is
there anything I can get for you?" the doctor asked
sympathetically.
Heero noticed her stop eating and summoned a waiter over for
their check. "I'm not leaving for at least two more days..." he
stopped suddenly realizing she would explode about that part
now. He flinched slightly and sighed, looking out the window.
Michelle looked at the older man. "I...well I could probably use
something to calm my stomach. I have a few dollars I can go down
and get a bottle of water." She bowed slightly and started away
toward the vending machine.
"At least two days." she repeated hollowly. She shook her head
and pinched the bridge of her nose, staying calm...for the
moment. The waiter hurried over with their check, but Ami was
already grabbing her purse and heading the door.
The doctor caught up with her and gave her an anti-nausea pill,
then went to go check on Duo.
Heero sighed as Ami rushed off. He threw the money for his bill
on the table and walked out. "Ami..." he called quietly after
her and met her out at the car. "Look, I just found out about
this today. It can't be helped." He grabbed her by her
shoulders. "I have to protect you and the kids. I lost too many
people in the war, I couldn't protect them, but I can still
protect you. And hope that our son doesn't fall into the same
fate that I had..."
Michelle took the pill and dropped a bottle of water from the
vending machine. She put the pill in her mouth and swallowed
back about half of the bottle of water. She walked slowly back
to the waiting room and curled up on the couch. She quickly fell
asleep, worried like crazy.
Ami blinked back tears and nodded quickly, dabbing at her eyes
with a tissue; thank god for water-proof mascara. "I know
Heero..." she whispered. "I just wish...I wish that you had a
different job."
It was a few hours later when the sounds of beeping woke
Michelle. She was in Duo's room now.
Heero sighed. "This is the only way I can still live the live I
was meant to live..." he pulled her head into him, and kissed
her temple. "Come, lets get back home."
Michelle struggled to wake up, tears staining her cheeks. She
looked around and wondered how she got here, then looked at the
bed before her. "Duo..." she whispered, and started to stand up.
She lost her balance and fell back onto the couch. But she stood
against and started toward him. She ran her fingers over his
cheek and her tears ran rapidly. "My Duo..." she spoke softly.
"Yes...home, the kids." she offered a slight smile, closing her
eyes briefly as he pressed a kiss to her temple. As they climbed
in, Heero's cell phone rang.
Duo was sound asleep and well-medicated; his surgery had gone
off without a hitch it would appear. His arm was reattached and
freshly bandaged, no hint of any blood to make her get sick
again. A little sigh escaped his lips as she stroked his cheek,
and he grinned in his sleep.
Heero buckled in and started his car. His phone rang again and
he answered it. "Yuy..." he answered, pulling out of the parking
space.
She pulled a chair up to the side of the bed and grabbed his
good hand. She squeezed it lightly and used her other hand to
rub his arm. She wanted to wait for the doctor to come back in,
and see what kind of after effects he'd have from losing his arm
this way. She figured he'd lose some kind of sensation in his
arm. And he's probably have to take therapy to regain full use
of it.
"Ah, Heero, yes. It's Dr.J, we're going to need you to leave
immediately it turns out..." The doctor coughed and wheezed a
bit. "So get your things and come at once!" The line cut off
abruptly. Ami sat looking outside the window, not having heard a
word of the conversation.
Duo continued to sleep, thanks to the medication. Fifteen
minutes later, the doctor walked in. "Ah, Mrs. Maxwell you're
awake, good. I'm here to talk about your husbands recovery..."
Heero had no time to even discuss the matter. He hung up, not
emotion appearing on his face. Instead, he replaced his phone
back and kept driving in silence back home. Obviously, he'd have
to tell her, and say goodbye to his children. But the situation
was bad enough. He'd rather her hate him while he's walking out
the door.
Michelle turned, attentive to the doctor. "Will he come through
this pretty easily?" she asked, concerned for his abilities to
work and interact with his children.
As they got home, Ami got out of the car and lingered, waiting
for Heero to join her. She may as well enjoy what little time
she had with him until he left.
"Well, he's going to need physical therapy, but the reattachment
was a success. He'll be on some pain medication for awhile
though too." The doctor said, flipping through his chart. "I'm
expecting four months of rehab and therapy. Then he'll be just
as before, with the exception of a scar."
Heero joined her, grabbing her hand, something he never did
before. He didn't want her to hate him as he knew she would the
second they got inside and he was going to start packing his
things. She would ask questions and then it would start all over
again.
Michelle sighed and looked back at her Duo. "Is there anything I
will have to do for him while he's healing? I mean, what about
work?"
Ami held his hand back wordlessly, lacing their fingers together
and squeezing gently as they headed inside. "I love you, Heero
Yuy..." she murmured softly, as not to disturb the blonde in her
living room.
The doctor nodded, "You won't really have to do much of anything
except monitor his pain medication. We wouldn't want him
developing an addiction. And as for work, a new law was set in
place by Vice Foreign Minister Darlian; anyone unable to work
due to injury will receive monthly check that should be more
than enough to handle bill pay and expenses."
Heero sighed and walked inside. He kissed her cheek gently and
then went off to his bedroom and began his packing.
Quatre stood up as they walked into the house. "Did you have a
good dinner?" he asked quietly, trying to mend the earlier
situation.
Michelle nodded. "Thank you...how much longer do you think he'll
be out?"
Ami shrugged, blinking rapidly to fight the onslaught of tears
that threatened to fall. "I-it was great," she offered with a
weak smile; she was such a horrible liar.
"I'm going to guess another hour maybe less." The doctor smiled.
"Please let the nurse know if you need anything."
