"All right, we'll see you then Mrs. Maxwell, have a nice day."
the nurse hung up.
Duo closed his eyes tightly. "Have you told the others?... we've
got to stop this as soon as possible..." He pinched the bridge
of his nose and rubbed it. He felt so old in that instant; but
he knew what needed to be done.
Ami chuckled at the sight of the three of them, and walked over,
carefully picking up her son. She nudged her brother with her
foot, swaying with her child.

Michelle nodded and hung up the phone, falling back to the sleep
as her cell dropped to the floor.
"Trowa was with me when we found out. We were called in to talk
about the status of the Gundams, when Professor H and Doctor J
came in and told us what had been found out. Apparently, this
guy goes by Hurricane. I don't know if that should mean anything
to us or not, but I have a bad feeling." Quatre sighed heavily
on the other end and then Trowa's voice came on the line. "Duo,
meet us at the storage facility tomorrow morning at sunrise. We
have about one week to prepare our old friends for combat. I
just hope we can save Heero before then." He went silent for a
moment. "Oh and Duo...don't let the women know about this. It
would shatter them." The line went dead just then.
As the elevator doors opened up, there was a dark room before
him. Blinds were closed on the windows and there was a large
rectangular desk in front of them. A large chair spun around,
unable to see the person inside it. "Welcome Mister Yuy." a
somewhat familiar, yet aged voice welcomed him. "Please, have a
seat, I just have a few things to go over with you before we
begin talking about signing all the releases." Heero nodded and
took a seat in a small red leather armchair that was illuminated
by a single dim lamp.
Goku awoke quietly and looked up. He rubbed his eyes and smiled.
"Hey Aims. What's going on?"

Duo swore as the line went dead. He felt like he was a teenager
again; getting orders and having to leave without telling
Michelle the truth of where he was going. He quietly placed the
receiver in the cradle and walked over to the sink, rinsing his
hands off. He knew he needed to start packing and getting things
ready immediately. As he walked out of the kitchen, he glimpsed
his sleeping wife on the couch and smiled sadly.
"I'm here to pick up the kids and take them home..." she replied
quietly as not to wake Gohan. "Heero wants to see them before he
leaves. Can you carry the girls for me?" Her voice was tired and
weak from all of the emotional toil she'd been going through.

Goku sat up carefully. "Yeah I'll help. So...Heero's alive?" he
asked, raising a brow.
Heero looked around the darkening room and rested his hands on
the arms of the chair. "I'm listening." Heero spoke to the dark
figure across the room. Many things about this office seemed to
remind him of his teenage days. He couldn't pin point anything
in particular but it all made him a little uncomfortable.
"You're participating in Operation Dissolution. We have
constructed a top of the line machine that I know for a fact you
are capable of piloting. Surely if you can pilot Wing Zero and
Epion, you can pilot Reliquin. She's a gorgeous piece of work,
Heero. She handles all the same unique qualities that both your
machine and that of the great Zechs Marquise. All we have you
have pilot this machine for one simple mission. We have some
targets around the training that Reliquin is programed to find
and destroy but she's no mobile doll so she needs a pilot. You
just pilot her, and as you do, she will be calibrated as you
come closer to your targets."
"This is too simple." Heero muttered. "Why is this a six month
assignment?"
"Well Mister Yuy, the targets are spread across this planet and
a few other places. But she doesn't already know exactly where
they are. You do have to find them. And it's going to take some
time for you to get used to the machine itself."
"Hn." he grumbled. "So what are these papers I need to fill
out?"

"Yeah... and I'm through with Vegeta..." she replied quietly,
holding her son. "We agreed to start working on our marriage
too..." She yawned a bit and switched arms with Junior so she
could rub her eyes.

"Wow, well all right. If that's what you think you need to do."
Goku shrugged. "I'll go get the girls and meet you at your
place. I need to let Chichi know that I am leaving." He smiled
and headed to another room.
Heero stared into the darkness as a short man in a black suit
approached him with a clipboard of papers.
"Just a few release forms and some temporary life insurance in
case anything happens."
Heero raised a brow and began looking through the papers,
signing them as he read through and okayed them.

"Thank you..." she smiled weakly and walked outside, taking off
and heading back to the house.
Duo had finished packing by now and had put his duffel bags in
the backseat of his car. He sat down beside Michelle and quietly
watched TV.

Michelle sighed in her sleep and opened her eyes. She looked
around and caught Duo in her sights. "I have a doctor's
appointment at 1:15 tomorrow. That was the doctor's office that
called me." She stopped and looked at him. "Duo?..."
Heero tossed the clipboard of papers down on the darkened desk
in front of him. A silvery medallion sparkled in the ambient
lighting of the room and Heero smirked. "Who are you?" he asked.
He looked over at the person behind the desk as they stood and
wandered over towards the light.
"Heero, it's not the 'who' that you should be wondering, it's
the 'what'. You see, I am that which has seen far too much
happen over the last couple of decades, and I think the wrong
parties have been placed in the wrong paths of destruction. But
for now, Mr. Yuy, I bid you adieu. Good day." A white glimmer
shown as he grinned and then turned his back. "Be at the
warehouse by noon tomorrow. We start early. I want to get this
over with." Heero grunted and turned, walking out of the office
and headed back down to the lobby level.

Duo looked over at Michelle, his expression one of grave
sadness. She had that look memorized by now. He sighed and
reached over, pulling her against him. "I gotta to see the guys
tomorrow morning." he mumbled, holding her tightly.

Michelle sighed, unhappily now and curled into him. "Why?" she
asked him, burying her face in his chest. "I thought they were
done with you guys..."
Heero grumbled as he walked out the front doors of the large
building. He covered his eyes from the sun with his hand and
looked around. "This may finally be my last mission..." he told
himself and started walking back towards his car. He kept
looking around at all the people he passed, it had been a few
weeks since the explosion at the Darlian Estate. He kept
thinking how he'd done the world a favor as well as himself.
'Eight weeks...' he thought to himself. 'It couldn't have been
mine...' He growled as he yanked open the door to his car and
stepped inside, sitting down and buckling himself in. He roared
the engine to life and drove out into the busy traffic of the
city. He started thinking about everything, all the times he'd
been away from home, the few stupid times he did betray his
marriage. He was beginning to hate himself even more. Then
again, he knew he was reverting back to who he was before he
married Ami. He stopped at a stop light and pounded his head
down on the steering wheel. "F*CK!!" He yelled at himself inside
the car. As the light turned green, he found every passage he
could to get passed this traffic and get home.
