and then looked down at the paper and began reading it.

"What the hell!!" he cursed and threw the letter down. He
stormed out the door, shoving it off it's hinges and headed
straight for his gravity chamber. It was his only vice to keep
him from going after her, where ever she had gone.

Two weeks passed. No one heard from Ami, no one knew Heero was
still alive. Junior and Faith were staying with Goku and his
family, while Lorelei stayed with Vegeta. Duo had spent that two
weeks off with Michelle and the kids, and unbeknown to either of
them, she's pregnant again. Ami comes to a gentle landing on CC
property, sighing as she stretches. Her hair is much longer and
there's a calmness about her that wasn't there before.

Trunks was just emerging from the gravity chamber, sweat pouring
from his bare skin, a pair of black spandex outlining his lower
body. He pulled the towel from his head, wiping the sweat away,
and started for the house and then found Ami standing there. His
hair was a bit longer to her as well. The length having now
reached his shoulder blades. He stopped and stared at her for a
moment, a bit of pain in his eyes to see her. He didn't say
anything, only turned away and walked inside. "Dad..." he
grumbled, walking through the living room. "You have a visitor."
Vegeta looked at Trunks' reaction to this 'visitor' and decided
he knew the energy that had landed outside. He grumbled and got
up from the couch. He walked out the front door and stood, a
pained and angry expression on his face.

Ami slowly came forward, but stopped just shy of embracing him.
"Vegeta..." she murmured sadly. "I'm sorry I just took off..."

He shook his head, denying forgiveness. "You left all of your
children...your responsibilities...behind." His arms were folded
over his chest. "Bulma's been breathing down my neck wondering
when you'd be here to pick up your daughter." He leaned in and
whispered. "She still doesn't know..." He growled and walked
past her, pulling his shirt off over his head. "You can't do
this Ami..." Deep ridges, lining his muscled back, shadowed in
the sunlight, enhancing the bulging muscles he'd built up
throughout his body.

This made Ami angry. "She doesn't know?" she asked in a
dangerously low voice, turning around to glare at his back. She
was sorry she left how she did, she understood everyone would be
upset with her...

Vegeta turned to her, a sudden rage entering his form. "Look
Ami! I have a good thing going here! Why would I ruin all of
that!?!" He marched towards her and got in her face. "And you
have no room for telling me off about anything. You're the one
who ran off Ami! Now leave me alone..." he grumbled and walked
into the gravity chamber and slammed the door, locking it.

Ami was unmoving as he got in her face and yelled at her, then
locked himself in the gravity chamber. "Fine..." she muttered.
She walked into the Briefs house and immediately went to her
daughter picking her up. "Say bye to Trunks." she said to the
toddler. Lori looked up at Trunks and grinned, opening and
closing her little hand. "Bai bai..." she cooed.
